This was one of my better purchases of 2021. It's a great, inexpensive starter piece of equipment. Because the price was so reasonable, I was able to decide whether or not I wanted to pursue using an airbrush in my work without feeling guilty if the medium wasn't for me Highly recommend.

First the good points. The product was packaged very well, the price was excellent, and the colors were quite nice - especially the pastel 'macaron' varieties. The bad side, though, is that the paints didn't work well at all for airbrushing onto N-scale model buildings made of resin or plastic. I tried a half-dozen of the colors, with two different airbrushes. They were all much too thick to work with even the compressor-driven airbrush, so I had to thin them out. I tried thinning with water and with Vallejo Airbrush Thinner. No matter what ratio I tried, the paint covered very poorly, and tended to splotch badly as though it were resistant to mixing with thinners. I suspect it would be fine for use on fabric, or shoes. But for very fine, highly detailed models it was not at all the right paint for the job. I am returning the set. ... show more
