We use the safety 1st magnetic locking system because it works very well - very strong locking mechanism and the magnetic release is very simple and a toddler can not get it open - like the ones where you pull the dawer a little bit and then push the lock down manually - my toddler had that one figured out in 1 day. This is a very secure system and works very well. We have it on a small door that leads to storage under our stairs, use it on cabinets, dresser drawers, etc. It has been great! As a grandmother, I have had to install numerous locks on cupboards over the years. This one is by far the best! I wish they'd have had these when I had my daughter 40 years ago. Easy to install. Work amazingly well. When the grandchild is gone, it has a simple push button to keep them in the unlock position. I keep the magnetic key on the fridge in the kitchen, on the mirror which I found out is metal in the back- in the bathroom. They are out of sight more so than any lock I've previously used. This system works very well and is reliable. I was worried about having a two-handed solution but it works so much better than the other solutions and is invisible. In fact, depending on the cabinet, I can actually use the key and open it one-handed. I am ordering extra keys because as close as the one key is, it is much more conveinent to have one in each room. Bought it because it has a hole in it so I could hang it if necessary and also because it is small and can be fiddly to handle. Downside is it is small. But I am glad it has a hole in it for hanging.

Our tricky little daughter was able to get through the push type locks so we went to these magnetic type locks. She couldn't get through those. We kept a couple of these keys up high and handy so we didn't have to search for one.
