  • Very nice and wonderful bakers rack.
Color: Brown Pine
Really beautiful. More robust than I imagined. The twisted metal rods are just lovely .The lower shelves are wine and accommodating. The upper shelves are perfect for all display and utilitarian objects. I love this more than I would have expected. Just fits our needs with quality and stability. Love it. ... show more

  • Almost perfect
Color: Brown Pine
Looks nicer than I thought it would. Easy assembly. Knocked one star for some slight manufacturing irregularities that mean it’s not perfectly square when assembled, but no one will ever notice except me because I’m the one who put it together. We’re talking about maybe 3-4 millimeters off from perfect. Not a big deal at all. Gives us a TON of storage space without crowning the room. Really great product for the price. Also, random observation. Smelled like cinnamon for first few weeks. ... show more

  • Really fantastic choice
Color: Brown Pine
I wasn't sure about this, but I went for it and I'm glad I did. This unit was easy to assemble (I have experience, so might be a little slower for a first-timer, but instructions were helpful). The piece is actually pretty sturdy! I was pleasantly surprised. There was an issue with part of one of the shelves was bent, but it didn't affect the function or assembly at all. I am very happy with my choice and it was much cheaper than some of the alternatives I had considered. There is only one thing I want to point out, and it's that the rear vertical supports don't have the twisted details that the front does, but it's not a huge problem, or even noticeable unless you're looking...but I thought shoppers should be aware. Anyway, I would recommend this piece! ... show more

  • Buyer beware
Color: Brown Pine
I ordered two units. I opened one of them. It looked like it had been repackaged inside, the outer box itself looking "well traveled." Some of the shelves were broken or the wood split. There were some shelves could not be attached to the metal frame because the hole for the screws were stripped down. I never even bothered opening the other box for the other unit. However, Amazon was very accommodating and made the return process very easy. ... show more

  • Two fastener holes badly misaligned...and what is that SMELL?
Color: Brown Pine
I am keeping because it will suit my purposes and it would be a huge hassle to disassemble and repack. My biggest complaint would be that two of the holes for screws on the center piece of wood (where the top and bottom are both attached) are misplaced (and are metal reinforced, so can't redrill a hole a quarter inch over to make things fit. One is for a fastener to the bottom half, the other is to the top -- so I was able to assemble without those screws and the piece still feels sturdy overall. But for a piece that only has 20 screws altogether, getting the holds in the right place to line up with the frame seems pretty basic quality control. Even without that problem (which slowed me down while I tried to figure out a solution) putting this together took much longer than the 10 minutes indicated in the instructions. It's at least a half-hour job, and took me nearly an hour (working alone and dealing with the frustration of the misaligned fasteners). Unpacking and putting together also created a huge mess due to the type of styrofoam used to pack it -- there were little styrofoam bits all over the wood pieces I had to vacuum off, and I had to vacuum up a ton of styrofoam when Iwas done breaking down the box and disposing of the packing materials. Another issue: although this is by nature a "rustic" piece, the finish on the wood is uneven and ugly on some edges. For where I want to put this, that's OK, but for someone wanting to use in a nice kitchen or dining room where the imperfections would be more noticeable, I would not recommend. Also, as another reviewer noted, the SMELL of this thing is insane -- whatever the wood is treated with is very strong smelling and overpowering. For anyone sensitive to VOC off-gassing, this would be a definite NO. One upside: although it is not evident from the photo or description, the height of the bottom two shelves and and the 4th and 5th shelves (in the top half) is variable, which could be useful. I have another Safavieh low table with drawers that I like and similiar in style, but it's not nearly this large -- and didn't have manufacturing flaws or this intense smell. This experience will make me unlikely to choose this brand again, at least not for anything requiring much assembly. ... show more

  • Disappointed with bookcase!!
Color: Brown Pine
September 2016: I bought this bookcase for my new private practice. Shopping for my office, I knew the look I was going for: a mix of modern with antique. Plus, all of the other bookcases I saw were cheap MDF or vaneer, yet still cost a fortune. As I already have this bookcase in my home office, I knew the quality and what to expect. What I love Is that the shelves are made from real wood and the frame is antiqued metal. Update October 2016: I assembled this bookcase with the expectation that it was the same quality as the one I bought 5-yrs. ago; what a disappointment. 1.) The wood looks different; 2. some of the screw holes were misaligned so much that I had to skip them entirely, and; 3.) the metal frame was scratched in multiple places. ... show more

  • Nice looking but damaged
Color: Brown Pine
This is a nice looking Etagere we are using as a bar in our living room. We noticed the frames came bent/damaged and the finish wasn't perfect. We weren't sure if it was part of the 'antiqued' look, but I am becoming more certain that it was damaged. Either way, it looks fine, noone notices but me, it was a great value and we are overall happy enough. ... show more

  • Nice
Color: Brown Pine
This is a lovely addition to my kitchen. It arrived with no damage and even though the directions were unclear, it was easy enough to assemble. The only thing I didn't like, is that it has a very unpleasant, chemical smell when you unpack it. I had to wipe it down, but the smell still lingers. Otherwise it's perfect. ... show more
