This is now my 3rd holster and I love them all. I changed from the als to the sls because with the als my back sight got pushed out of alignment. I personally like the als locking mechanism for my shooting grip. Just works better for me. But I wanted the hood. If they had the als with a hood.     • Some pros and cons

Mine is for the glock 19 with tlr-7. Here's the pros, good quality polymer, excellent fit with no wiggle, feels comfortable on the hip, easy to understand retention tool. Here's the cons, the retention hood thumb press is stiff no matter how I try to break it in or oil it which can cause hang ups getting it out fast ( not what you need when it counts ) but not so stiff to say that it's horrible. My biggest gripe is that the front sight keeps catching on the retention ramp even after adjusting it. This causes a slight hang up on draw and already after about 10 draws, the inside of the holster had plastic dug out by the sight. It's not a horrible holster, but for the price its not as premium as I hoped. ... show more

Excellent holster! Lasted all throughout the academy, holds the pistol nice and firm with slight to no rattle. I'm still using it! I wish I bought a mid ride though. After a few weeks to a month depending on weather add a drop of lube or dab of silicone to the release it got a tad stiff after crawling around. So I'm assuming if you have high winds dirt may hinder but it will still open. ... show more
