Description

The Safariland Model 6004 Tactical holster is built for comfort as well as functionality. This Tactical holster features the Self Locking System (SLS™) rotating hood system which is so well suited for the tactical situations encountered today. The hood on the Model 6004 holster can only be released by being simultaneously pushed down and rotated forward and actually becomes more secure when upward force is applied. The STX Tactical finish of the holster is rugged, protecting the gun in scrape, scratch and dent incidents. Molded sight track and soft SafariSuede™ protect the gun's sights and finish. A special feature of the Model 6004 is the double leg strap and the leg shroud. These two features combined equal comfort and stability in the holster position on the leg.

This is a very nice holster. The leg straps fit comfortably and I really enjoy how the belt attachment is very adjustable for length and fits any size belt. The Belt attachment should fit very tall people because I am 6'1" and I have more than plenty of room to make this holster fit lower. The leg straps also have plenty of room for adjustment for those with very muscular legs. I removed all the screws and added blue Loctite for an additional piece of mind so no screws come loose. Then I inserted my Sig M11-A1 in it and adjusted the screw by the trigger guard until I got a smooth but firm fit when holstering and drawing the handgun. I bought this holster because I have read it is made for the Sig P226 series handguns but it will also fit the P229 series as well. So far, so good. I would buy it again. ... show more

The holster is exactly what I need for my sig 220 combat. Third times the charm after 2 other holsters that wouldn't fit the rail. Well It fits perfect here. I bought this product for the holster and not the drop leg assembly since I have never been a fan of thigh holsters.will be replacing the thigh rig with a gcode rti mount and a rti duty belt attachment. After reading the reviews, I thought I would be all set and wouldn't have any figment issues. I was wrong. I have a P226 Elite Scorpion and I ended up having to cut a notch in the strap that holds the gun in to fit around the extended beavertail. Not exactly what I wanted to do with a $100+ holster, however the color is great and I love where it rides on my leg. ... show more

Was first issued one of these in 2005 for a service pistol after having tried several different brands...this one is by far the best of all of them, staying in place on your thigh without dragging down your belt and chafing your side. Very quick draw and return, and very secure...plenty of sprinting and hitting the deck, and never lost it. Have had others try to remove the weapon forcibly with no success...excellent retention with ease and quickness of drawing, the perfect combination, which is why I bought one for one of my personal weapons, and will likely buy more... ... show more

The first thing I want to say is that my P220 Combat fits in this holster perfectly and it looks great. Now I haven't taken it to an idpa event but have practiced drawing and holstering (safety checked of course) and it feels great.
