M.A. Cobb has outdone herself again,I read this book in one day. Saddles is Ford's story. He was a character who piqued my interest in the previous books due to his loyalty to Mason and his mysterious personality. He is headed back to the isolated cabin to monitor the endangered herd. April is fleeing her family home due to a bitter stepmom just to be captured from a gas station. Fate brought them both together to fight off their personal internal demons and enemies. I love how protective and loving Ford was to April and that piercing he has🥵 Mason and the rest of Black Gulch never fail to pull together for their own. There was the perfect amount of spice and a great story line as well! I’m obsessed with this series. Rugged cowboy.. CHECK, older man.. CHECK, touch her and not survive.. CHECK, possessive.. CHECK, pretty much triple her size.. CHECK, forbidden.. CHECK!!! This is the third book and they are all forbidden age gaps… I mean.. YUM! Please check your trigger warnings before reading this book. There is loss and trauma but wow.. the way they both help each other out of the darkness! I mean, the FMC is a special kind of powerful. Ford and April have to overcome their own demons and tragedies in order to have a chance at the future. M. A. I really loved the first two books in the series but fords book just didn’t cut it for me. I thought it was a little crazy that only days after she was kidnapped and sexually assaulted by two men, she was wanting to have sex with ford. I would have expected a little emotional trauma.. They really kind of skated over her whole experience while she was kidnapped too. Wasn’t much detail. And I really couldn’t feel any special bond between the two. It was like let’s have sex bam now let’s live together bam have a kid bam let’s get married bam. Just awful and going through the motions of a book without any emotion to tie me to it. ... show more
