  • Virginal teenage boy must hold a frozen pose in spite of what this Teen Goddess might do with her words, lips or hands
What a great, sexy story! A sort-of-blind-date finds Rory (aka Spud) paired with the tiny but beauteous Belinda [yes, really!!], for whom he's long held a crush. After the football game (soccer to us Yanks), the two couples adjourn to the guys' room for pizza, beer and movies. Bored with the latter, the guys are drawn by the gals into a game of Mannequin, in which one team poses the other pair and then attempts to lure them into breaking out of their rigid, frozen poses. As the hilarious game proceeds, the poses and efforts to tempt a mannequin to abandon it become increasingly suggestive--nay, actually quite sexual. Some clothing is abandoned (first by the girls) and some light groping occurs (first by the girls). How far might this titillating game go? LaPage does a superb job of capturing the teenage virginal male's desperate yearning to experience anything (well, everything, really) of a sexual nature--physically and emotionally--with an irresistibly attractive female. At first, Spud's hopes are so minimal--perhaps a kiss or a hug in which her full breasts might press against his chest for a few seconds. As the evening progresses, and small intimacies begin to lead to the potential promise of more,he is almost giddy with excitement. He even begins to suspect there might be some mutual desire between himself and the petite bundle of sexual enticement he is jousting with. The sexual tension climbs relentlessly, even if we think we know where the story is going to lead. ... show more

  • Excellent fun read. Don't miss reading this one.
I really enjoy stories that keep me wondering how the author is going to progress the story line. This book is an excellent example of one that I had to keep reading because I wanted to know what would happen next. Sure... I can guess the general direction the story is taking, but it's all the excellent detail Ms. LaPage puts in to transform a general idea into an exciting read. I have really enjoyed everything of Ms. LaPage's that I've read and this is no exception. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Fun sexy romp
Teenage boy gets lucky for the first time. It’s a simple concept, but LaPage tells this story exceedingly well, with a well-crafted tale that does an incredible job of building up the tension before the final release(s). For a female author, LaPage wonderfully captures a guy’s experience of sex, and all the tension one feels when delving into the unknown. Any man would kill for the opportunity to be a part of the elaborate game that the two girls create for them. And the female characters (one of whom I suspect is the author’s alter-ego) are fully formed as well, not merely foils to the male fantasy. The story is about them seeking their pleasure as well. LaPage even creates a little cliffhanger at the end, leaving one in hope of future installments. ... show more

  • Great fun!
Mannequin is nice and naughty, a truly fun read! The main character, Rory, and his brother John had me grinning before the end of chapter one. I think we’ve all known a couple of good-time guys just like them. Rory’s narration is relatable and fun throughout this well written story. When his bro’ invokes “the code”, he can’t say no, and Rory embarks on an extraordinary blind date. The girls introduce the guys to a new game that escalates from nice to naughty, and Rory comes out a winner. I think I’ve just discovered my new favorite parlor game! ... show more
