I actually purchased this to condition and clean my saddle that I just took out of storage after more than 10 years. Then I had an incident with my bee hive that left my favorite pair of gloves pretty much toast. Beekeepers gloves cannot be washed because the part covering the hand is supple leather. When the leather area becomes too soiled or has too many bee stingers embedded the gloves have to be replaced, and it always comes to that right about when a pair has just been broken in and become my favorites. So when my Feilove Saddle Soap kit arrived, I thought...why not try it. Nothing to lose. I have used saddle soap on my saddle and tack, leather boots and shoes, and high end purses for years. Nothing is better or cleaning, and conditioning leather. It's easy to use, just wet the brush and work a suds right in the tin, then using the soft brush clean your leather. Wipe the suds and lined dirt off with the soft dry cloth provided. If you want you can follow up with a conditioning oil or wax, I generally don't. The saddle soap leaves the leather soft and conditioned. A tin of this soap lasts a long time. When I was using it at the barn regularly a tin this size would last about a year with frequent cleaning of tack and my saddle. Be sure to let the soap dry before putting the lid back on, and also the brush before putting it away. Wash the towel! The picture I included is my beekeeper's gloves. The top is uncleaned. The bottom one had as much if not a little more dirt and debris before the saddle soap. It was sticky and ground in. I cleaned the other glove after taking the demo picture. They both dried soft, supple, and without shrinkage. I don't need them to be perfect, just usable. The yellow and brown left is staining of the leather from bee propolis. Normal wear and tear for these gloves. The upper glove is what they looked like after I had taken a damp cloth to the gloves to try to remove the mess after my hive disaster. If they did this for my very dirty gloves with dirt, honey, wax, and propolis stuck to them, not to mention some bee stingers ground in, imagine what this will do for your leather shoes, boots, belts and other accessories. I trust this so much I use it on my very high end purses and hand bags. They look great. This is a great prices for a product proven over generations.
