Convenient device to keep the van tidy! PROS: - Nice size. Fits in the storage well between the front row and middle row of my Odyssey. - Good enough power. As long as the filter is emptied regularly, it seems to get all the dirt and grass and food crumbs. - The attachments work well and can get to some of the tighter spots. - Decent length on the cord to reach from front 12V or rear 12V jacks. - Convenient storage pouch included so everything is stored together easily. CONS: - Not a big con, but does require to be plugged in to operate vs. being charged up between uses. That would have made this a better value. - While it works great getting the leather seats and floor mats suctioned, the suction on the carpet is not as good. Not usually a big deal (that is why I have the floor mats after all!) but have to pull out the ShopVac to get the really big jobs done.

I am reviewing this almost after an year of using this. It's suction has weeken by the time but still works good. I clean the vacuum after at least 4 uses. Battery life has gone may be 30% down in an year. I think it's great product.

I wish I would've taken a before and after picture! You'll just have to take my word for it. So initially I was skeptical of this vacuum because of its small size. I noticed there were TONS of reviews though, mostly decent, so I decided to pull the trigger on it. I have a messy toddler and am about to have my second baby, so the idea of being able to plug it in right in my car and do some cleaning, was really appealing. I also really like the idea of having different attachments for cleaning nooks and crannies. I decided the other night to get it out and give it a shot and I'll say, initially I wasn't overly impressed. I plugged it in and turned it on (yes, with my vehicle running) and thought, "wow, that's it?" But when u started vacuuming with it I was actually pretty impressed. So NO, you're not going to get industrial vacuum-quality with this device. However, like I said, if you want to be able to take your time at your own house and so some car cleaning, this device is great. It actually did a pretty good job of cleaning my carpets and giving my car a refresh. I loved that the attachments helped me get into spaces I'd never have access to with the vacuum at the car wash. So between the counsel and the seats, etc. The hose in my opinion is shaped oddly and doesn't work too well, but I loved the brush and the straight attachments. The hose plugs in one way to the vacuum and then faces a different direction at the end, so it's pretty uncomfortable trying to straighten it out to fish it down into a nook. Not bad, though. Just personally won't be using that attachment as much. I like that it includes a brush for the filter and an extra filter. What I did find annoying was that the suction power was lacking if even the smallest amount of dirt and hair stuck to the filter. So I felt as though I was constantly emptying the dust cup even when I should've been able to fill it up more. Lot of dirt and particles like to stick right around the tip where it sucks, right in the crack between the opening and the outer plastic. So that was annoying, but holding it facing up and giving it a few good taps sent the dust down with the rest of it by the filter which was good. I did notice that when you open it and take the filter out to dump the dust, the rubber ring on the filter gets dusty and makes it difficult to seat it back into place within the plastic so you can click that back onto the actual vacuum. So tinkering with that was pretty annoying trying to get it to seat correctly so I could get back to vacuuming. It took me quite a while to complete but my car also hadn't been vacuumed in a while. All in all, I would say this is a really good but also flawed device that is nice to have if you don't like having to go to the car wash to clean out your car, or you have small and messy children like I do and want to be able to clean up after them in a pinch and at home. This device as I mentioned earlier is also quite good for the nooks and crannies the car wash vacuum heads simply cannot reach. However if you're expecting professional detailer-quality results, you'll likely be disappointed. This vacuum does have pretty good suction power but some stuff that is almost weaved into the carpet fibers still remains. It is not perfect, and i would say it's not quite as professional quality as the claims state on the box. It also claims you can clean wet messes with it, however I have not tried that as of yet and am not sure I'd be comfortable testing that. So, all in all, if you're looking for what i described, you should definitely get this product. However if you're looking for something more professional grade, you may want to look into something a lot more powerful. I am happy with the value of it, and hope to get a lot of use from it.

I'm writing this review in hopes that you (vacuum shopper) find my experience helpful in making your purchase decision. Clearly I purchased because I was convinced by the number of good reviews and discarded the bad reviews because the majority of those sounded like they were "one off" scenarios or just angry people that like leaving bad reviews no matter what. To be totally transparent, I'm not mad with this company and I hope that they sell a million more vacuums but my fellow review reader consider my two cent review before you decide to be one in that million. The good: 1. I love the idea of being able to take and transfer this portable, storable vacuum between the multiple vehicles that I use on a daily basis. 2. It comes with plenty of practical accessories and an extra filter 3. The chord is long. This is useful for those that may not have a convenience outlet in the rear of your vehicle 4. The price...I almost purchased two The bad: 1. Very poor suction (this has a snowball effect on the other negatives) 2. I would frequently stop to clean the filter in hopes of creating better suction 3. Meh on rubber mats and hard surfaces 4. Prepare to spend a lot of effort trying to clean any upholstered surface (you will be mad if it's warm outside while you're trying to do this) 5. Because of the weak motor, I feel that you wind up using the vacuum for longer intervals. I'm no engineer but I know that this will undoubtedly have a near future detriment to this vacuums longevity. 6. Be mindful of the heat generated by the power adaptor! The longer you use the hotter it will get. This might be obvious to some of us but others may have never considered this point. 7. Of the 3 hose variations, the widest cleaning surface measures a mere 1 3/8" give or take. This also contributes to the amount of time you will spend cleaning your vehicle. 8. The brush attachment is wearing down already and I like that one the best?! Maybe there are limitations to what this product can deliver because its 12v and not battery or commercially powered? Be prepared to be underwhelmed by its performance. Here's how I'll put it to you so that maybe it'll be clear: A big floor fan, a desktop fan, that little battery operated fan (not even the kind attached to a water bottle)...obviously the latter is what we're dealing with. Even with a generous 3 stars, I personally will keep using this vacuum because I realize at best it should be considered as a spot cleaner at best! Do not be deceived (not that they are trying to) to believe that this product is an effective full car detailing tool. Hopefully my relatively inexpensive lesson helps you in your quest. If I could give it zero stars, I would. This vacuum is small - a lot smaller than I thought it would be. I was expecting it to be the size of a lot of the cordless household ones, but this is much smaller. Because it is small, the attachment hose and other attachments it came with clog easily with things like dry pine needles. You can shake them out, even while the vacuum is running because the suction is non-existent. More on that suction issue in a bit. It is also made out of cheap plastic. You would want to treat this like it is glass because it would probably break if you were to set it down roughly, or set something on it on accident. The plastic is thin and just garbage. It's just absolute garbage, not made out of quality anything. I missed the fact that this was also corded. Not a deal breaker, just wasn't expecting that. I would have been willing to hassle with the cord if it worked. This vacuum's suction power is non-existent. It is a gutless wonder. It does not want to suck anything up (including dirt), even with my car is running. They advertise that this vacuum will work better with your car running, so I started off using this with my car running. If that is the best it has, it is terrible!! One possible contributing factor in the lack of suction (besides a small motor and the poor quality materials used to manufacture this thing) is how it is designed. It is designed with a plastic flapping "door" near the mouth of the vacuum where you suck up stuff which probably accounts for some of the lack of suction power. The vacuum has to suck the door open in order to suck anything up!!! I do not understand that design at all, as it probably greatly reduces the sucking power, which would explain the lack of suction. Heck, it was not even able to suck open the door!! I had to shake the vacuum around in order for the flapping door to move, hoping there would be a brief suction. Yeah...terrible!!! I know that my car is dusty with dirt. It has not been vacuumed in a long time. But the vacuum was pretty much clean after using this vacuum. Very little dirt residue was inside the vacuum because the suction is just that bad. The air filter? Hardly dirty at all from my trial vacuuming my car out. There are no words. Really. This vacuum does not work. Period. I will be returning it for a refund. It does not do what it is advertised to do, which is VACUUM my car.

I took my car to the car wash to clean it out only to have wasted $3 because the first vac took my money but didn’t work, and the second one was so bulky I could not get to those places between the seats, you know what I’m talking about, and the smell from the vac was awful! So as I was leaving and thinking about how hard that was, expensive and gross, I thought, ‘wait a minute, don’t we have a car vac at home?’ Yes, I found it, it had never been used, first time for everything I thought. Well I am impressed! The attachments worked great, the suction was good! My grandie makes a mess in the car all the time, so I cleaned all of that, that the car wash vac did not pick up, and in between the seats! Very good product! Keeping it in my car and will get another for our Grand Cherokee! PS. I ran my car while I used it, in case you are wondering, did not want to tax my battery! But it took a lot less time using this car vac than the big stinky one at the car wash! 5 stars!

I’ve been using the BLACK+DECKER Dustbuster Cordless Handheld Vacuum for a while now, and it has genuinely impressed me. I mainly bought it to deal with the never‑ending trail of cat litter around my house, and it handles the job incredibly well. The suction is strong, the battery life is solid for quick cleanups, and it’s lightweight enough that grabbing it for a fast sweep doesn’t feel like a chore. What I appreciate most is how easily it picks up litter without scattering it or clogging.
