I really enjoyed trying this foundation and will continue to use it. The first time I tried it on, I swiped the one end across my face and it glided so easily and smooth, that I glided it right off my face 😂. I am telling you the truth. Seriously though, this foundation is so simple to apply (it really does just glide on) and easy to blend in with the brush provided on the opposite end of the foundation stick. I love that it includes a brush to apply it. It saves you money from having to buy a separate brush or sponge and makes it a breeze to take when traveling. At first I wasn’t very keen on the thought of matte foundation. I am more of a dewey foundation girl myself but I was pleasantly surprised. The foundation didn’t dry into a dull, cakey mess. It was smooth and even had a bit of a glow to it. I am 45 years old and it didn’t make the wrinkles on my face stand out like some foundations do. I really like this foundation and suggest everyone give it a try, even if you are a middle aged woman who usually likes dewey foundation. You can use it as sheer coverage or you can build it up to be full coverage. My only complaint is that I ordered #2 which is the lightest and it still seemed a little dark for my skin. I am super pale, reddish hair and freckles so if there would be one shade lighter, that would be awesome.

I was actually quite pleasantly surprised with this contour foundation stick! I have been using cream based makeup for about 2-3 years now, but still haven’t quite found a foundation color that I like, that actually blends well with my contour shade and blush shade. When I saw this contour foundation stick, I figured I’d give it a try and hope for the best. I am very glad I did, because I’ve been very impressed with it! When deciding which shade I wanted to try, I opted for the 02 shade, though I was a bit hesitant, because it looked darker than my skin. However, it matched perfectly!! The cream gives great coverage and blends very easily with my other cream based colors. I have not used the brush that is built in with the foundation stick, as I am more partial to the brushes I currently use for blending. However, it seems to have a dense brush on it and one that would very likely blend the cream very well – when comparing it to what I am currently using. With all of that said, I think I have officially found the perfect cream foundation for me to use, in combination with my contour and blush cream colors. I DO think you will be pleasantly surprised and happy with this contour stick, if you decide to get it.

I was mildly surprised how much I liked this! Nice packaging to begin with. It rotates to raise the product, and given the long oval-type shape, it can easily be dabbed under my eyes then swiped across my cheeks and forehead. On the other end is a blending brush. At first I thought it was a foam sponge covered with a velvety fabric, but at closer inspection it's actually a dense, smooth short brush that works well to blend the product under eyes, around the nose, and across wider areas like cheeks. The skin benefits like SPF, etc. are good additional layer to the skincare products I already use, and if I'm in a rush or a pinch then better than nothing at all, LOL. I took off one star for two issues: staying power is good for a shorter or lighter day, but not the best for my very longest or most rigorous days. Additionally, with only 3 available shades, the selection and range could certainly be wider, although 02 worked fine for me.

I loke this foundation stick! I will admit, the first time I tried it, I thought it felt greasy and thick on my skin. I don't know what that was about because I've since given it two more tries and I really like it. Yes, being a stick, it's a creamy, thicker texture, but it has felt comfortable and looked subtle on my skin. I'm typically a light coverage makeup person, so I put two large swipes down my cheeks and used the brush to apply it across the rest of my face. It was good light coverage and quickly felt matte and soft. I'm a huge fan of the brush on one end. It's the perfect thickness and shape and feels really good as it blends. I like it a lot. Likes + foundation stick at one side and brush at the other + foundation twists up for easy application + brush is thick, soft, and perfect shape + brush feels good and applies well + blends well + good light, buildable coverage + feels good on my skin Dislikes - none

I am so surprised by how much I like this stick foundation. I almost didn't try it because the 02 shade looked darker than my light skin, and a "matte" stick seemed like it would apply too dry for me. But I've actually been using it in place of my favorite Sephora liquid foundation. Comparing the two, my usual foundation is a full-coverage liquid that needs to be thoroughly blended to avoid looking cakey or thick, and the shade is just a tad lighter than my skin. This Sace Lady gives a great amount of coverage, but the stick form smears it on in a thin, cake-free layer that is smooth and blends really well with the brush side of the stick. The color is almost an exact match to my skin, adding just a touch of warmth.

This takes a few minutes to fully absorb so that it doesn’t feel like it will smudge, but it does still feel hydrating even after it sets. I ordered shade #2 and it was a little darker than I expected but blended in fine. It says its a matte finish - and it definitely dulled the shine on my skin but I would say its closer to a cross between eggshell/satin finish than a true matte, which does seem more natural and only provided light coverage on my skin (I may over rub it in though because I don’t like the mask look). It did unfortunately cling to my peeling skin (not the products fault, I just switched to Taz from Tret so my skin constantly peels like it’s sunburned. Just wanted to mention in case anyone else is going through the retinol adjustment too!
