First use today and the pad immediately pulled free from the magnetic base, caved in and twisted around the object being viced when I began to torque on the object with a wrench, with very little force applied. Pads folded around it and would not stand up to attempts to use. Absolute useless garbage.

These thermoplastic polyurethane rubber vise-jaw-pads are a great asset to any vise especially when the object you want to clamp might get damaged or marred by being squeezed by the metal jaws of the vise. I have some 5" pads but they're a little short for my vise and these 6" pads extend out further and give me additional gripping area. It's a simple device that's held on by rare earth magnets and you can use them on a bench vise, drill press vise or clamp on vise.

I have been slowly getting my garage/shop into the workspace I want it to be. One of the things I was lacking was some soft jaw inserts for my bench vise. Enter this product. You get 2 sets of inserts, one that has a 90 degree that goes over the top of the jaws and a straight set that goes against the metal jaws. The magnets hold very well and the softer material gives a good grip on those items that you need to hold in place without marring or damaging them. Unlike some other sets I have looked at where you have to remove the metal jaw inserts and put this style in and then screw down, these are magnetic and can be installed and removed whenever needed. Big bonus in my book, especially if you do multiple types of repairs or fabrication where you need to switch from a metal insert to a softer insert. Absolutely love these and look forward to using them over and over again.

Soft or non-marring jaws for a shop vise are always needed. This product with its magnetically attached plastic jaws is excellent not only does it provide a set of flat jaws, it also includes a set with various grooves or notches to hold items vertical, horizontal or at a 45 degree angle. My current vise is only a 4β model, but these jaws fit it fine and effectively turn it into a 6β vise. When not needed the magnetic jaws can be stored out of the way on any convent steel surface such as a shelf or bench leg. Truly an innovative product at a fair price that solves a need for any vise user.
