I ordered grey and I really like the color. I find it is thick enough so no one can see in at night, which is why I was looking for a curtain with a backing. It makes the kitchen dark even in daylight, but a little light, I think very little, comes in around the edge. I did not want to drill holes so I hung on a tension rod. Not as tight maybe as if drilled in and it is also hangs down over the marble window sill so not tight fit. This is my choice because blackout was not my goal. To me even if I wanted a blackout curtain this would work just fine. Love the looks, the material is nice looking and the amount of privacy it provides is great.
