Bought these for my large kitchen window. The measurements I needed were perfect! I do have a window shade up but I wanted something on a tension rod to make it darker on days when you're not feeling the "light". That window gets the sunsets and it can be overwhelming. Well this plan worked out perfectly. It was like the curtain was made for this window. The material is thick, has a sheen to it. Nicely sown seems. Beautiful color! They're not 100% blackout, but they definitely block a ton of light! I'm satisfied. I ordered gray also for a backup incase I need to wash these and change them out. Oh and btw--they washed up great on gentle cycle, cold and I dried them in the dryer on gentile. Trust me, these are nice for the price!! ... show more

I took a chance on these RYB HOME 36 inch Long Half Window Tiers/Curtains because with the rising price of fuel we needed more energy efficient curtains on our windows. All we had in our kitchen was some blinds and they were/are not energy efficient or thermal. While these are not lined they are pretty thick and the dark color blue I ordered is both room darkening and UV filtering. They fit over the blinds (which are indented into the window frames), and they look very nice in my kitchen. ... show more

The material is soft and thick, does well blocking out the light. Only draw back is it doesn't have a second seam where you slide you're curtain rod in. It's just a big pocket, so it doesn't bunch like I'd want it to. But it does the job for the price

i’m so happy with these curtains because they really block out everything. they insulate our studio apartment really well. when we first moved in, there were only some blinds and those don’t really block out much sun or light very well at all. once we put up the curtains it was a game changer. it stays very dark in here throughout the night & even from outside you can’t see in at all. it’s amazing how well they work. also, the quality of the material is really nice & soft. it’s the perfect length for my windows too. i definitely would repurchase if anything happened to these. ... show more

I got what I paid for on this, which was not enough light blocking. Its not worth returning so I'll keep it until I find something better. The quality of material was fine, but it could use a better light blocking backing.
