This only limits your pressure WHILE FLOWING. If you connect anywhere, static water pressure will ALWAYS climb to tap head pressure.

I came back from a 6-week RV trip and found many water hookups that had pressures as high as 110 pounds. Without the RV Water Pressure Regulator with Adjustable Handle, my trip probably would have ended early with blown water piping in many places in our RV. But we had a great time and the water pressure was fine for us at 45 PSI. With the regulator our trip was without excitement.
