We bought and professionally had this sink installed a couple of months ago. We really love it but there are some considerations that you may want to consider. It is large, deep and attractive looking on our counter and we were very pleased with the packaging and shipping. I do like having the shelf/grate on the bottom of the sink so that dishes are not left sitting or staining the bottom of the sink but I do have to pull it out and scrub both sides of the grate and then I clean my sink and then I put the grate back down. The bottom side of the grate can get pretty goopy if you don't remove it and wipe it down occasionally but for me, I have to clean the sink anyways and it just adds an extra step and I love having the grate so it is totally worth it. Besides, you can just remove the grate if you don't want to use it and the sink is still excellent. My only problem is that the food and debris from dirty dishes does not flow towards to drain. And because of the grate on the bottom, you can't simply swipe food remains to the drain area with a sponge. You either have to pull up the grate or chase items towards the drain with your faucet. All in all, we are very pleased with our Ruvati sink.

Extremely high quality with a modern look. Couldn’t be more pleased. This sink is heads and shoulders above the typical thin-walled stainless sinks on offer at the big box stores. Saw something that looked similar at Home Depot yesterday but it was 18 gauge and had a slight chamfer on the outer edge. Much prefer this Ruvati product. Am really impressed with the substantial insulation and sound deadening—they didn’t cheap out where it counts—no tin drum effect at all. Thought the offset drain might be a challenge to plumb being so close to the back wall, but turned out to be a piece of cake by reorienting the disposal clock position and using a standard trap kit from Home Depot. The thick walled construction also aids in eliminating any flex that might be induced by a faucet with a small footprint/mounting surface like the Moen I’m using. Some have balked at the below-countertop mounting hardware, but I found them to be excellent. I just used pliers to open up the lip that catches the flanges on the sink—for more positive engagement. This helped prevent the brackets from falling out when tightening them down. In my installation there was no room to use the two mounting brackets at the front of the sink, but I took a page out of another reviewer’s book and anchored those flanges using heavy duty zip ties. The sink came extremely well packaged and even included a fine cloth enclosure with a drawstring to protect the surface. That alone added cost for this manufacturer where they could have gotten by with a cheaper approach—but I appreciate the pride in craftsmanship this represents. I believe this sink to be an excellent value and the best looking solution for a surface mounted sink. My wife is over the moon with it, which is the ultimate test!

I wanted to get the largest single bowl sink possible for a 30 inch cabinet and found this one. When it arrived I was very impressed by the packaging and instructions for installation. My install was easy except this sink took up the entirety of the cabinet (awesome!) and it was hard to install clamps on the front and back to hold it down. I ended up removing the front panel off the cabinet so I could clamp it down in the front. Not difficult at all. Let me tell you, I LOVE this sink! It is super deep and I can put several different dishes in it at once to soak. I reused my old faucet and it works perfect! The sink is big enough and deep enough that the sprayer from the faucet doesn't splash water everywhere like it used to on my old sink. I am so glad I spent the money to get this sink. Its beautiful and easy to clean. My town doesn't have very good water so I was afraid it would have water spots all over it but as long as you wipe it down there is no residue left behind.

First we LOVE THIS SINK. It is one of the nicest parts of our kitchen, it's an eye catcher in a good way. It really looks and feels like quality Before we purchased we read reviews and looked at a lot of customer photos before we decided on this one. We have no complaints of draining. It comes with the rack that fits the bottom of the sink which is needed. The fit and finish is great. Even the under sink area has very good sound deadening and done extremely clean and looks like what you would expect in this price range. The sink basket that come with it is also very nice and compliments the install. Even the box it is shipped in is quality, we used several parts of the crazy thing in our remodel and still use it for other things. I installed this myself on a laminate top with a back-splash. It fit but barely. They make another model that is not as wide (front-to-back) which I would suggest for this type of counter top. The reason we bought this one was due to the extra hole on the right side. As far as the holding bolts, I found them to work just fine, EXCEPT... I bent the little hook out just a bit that made it easier to install. If I had one suggestion, they do need to push that hook out. Glad we got it, We'd buy it again.

Great Sink! Let me first say that I was very impressed with the QUALITY of the sink and the shipping packaging. I selected the sink because of the depth of sink and the 16 gauge thickness of the sink. I like that it is both self rimming and under counter mount as well. I will be using it as self rimming for two months and then changing my counter top to slab granite and using this sink as under counter mount. The pleasant surprise to me was that it was made in the United States. I can tell because the quality is very good. The quality, finish and the exact dimensions are fantastic. One improvement that could be made and that's why I gave only 3 stars on install. (I'm a plumber of 14 years so I'm excellent at plumbing fixture installs.) It's pretty easy to install and very good directions if you need them. The "slots" in the hold down tabs welded to bottom of sink need to be slightly wider so that the "clip" fit in easier. Meaning once the sink is installed as self rimming, the plumber/me have to lay on back and insert the hold down "clip" into the slot and then tighten the set screw. This is very typical. The slot is too thin (top to bottom dimension) to insert the clip straight. I had to angle the clip to get the "clip hook" into the slot. Angling the clips slightly is very typical on all sinks. This was a slight challenge but easily overcome by angle the "hook" into the slot. If the slot was slightly wider (meaning top to bottom dimension) the "hook" on your clip could be installed straight and then the set screw tightened. As it is with my sink I could NOT install clips on the front of the sink because there was not enough cabinet space to install the clip. Making your "slot" in the bracket slightly deeper would make a world of difference and NOT affect your product. If you make this adjustment, this will be a perfect "10" of a sink. I will truly look to buy another Ruvati product regardless of the slots. You won't go wrong buying Ruvati sinks. They are fantastic and the best on the market. Keep up the good work and differentiate yourselves from your competition. Cheers

Never heard of Ruvati before but found out they are fairly new to the sink industry and based out of Texas. Based on good/great reviews, my wife and I decided to purchase one to replace our 1970's vintage harvest gold double cast iron enameled sink. The item was packaged extremely well and arrived undamaged. Documentation was well written (i'm a technical writer by trade) and easy to follow. Main reason we chose Ruvati was the 16 gauge stainless steel, the noise abatement/sound proofing used, and overall happy comments in the reviews we read. The actual installation was a challenge due to our cabinet space size and drain setup, not anything to do with the sink or Ruvati. Basically we were at or slightly below the very minimum space requirements needed to install the sink properly and things were very tight. We transferred our four year old Kohler Sous Chef semi-commercial spray faucet (best money you can ever spend on a kitchen faucet BTW) from our old sink and were able to get it up and running after some minor space related modifications and getting the drain and water connections accomplished. As for the sink, the quality of the stainless steel is outstanding, easy to keep clean, and the noise proofing means that when you drop something in the sink by mistake, someone in the opposite end of the house does not have to wear hearing protection. The sink includes the mounting clips, drain basket, and high quality in-sink full length/width dish rack which keeps dirty dishes, etc. off the bottom of the sink. The only con and it's a minor one, is we wished the sink would drain quicker. Its a tradeoff though. Faster draining would mean a steeper slope/angle in the sink and I think they probably can't do much better without affecting other things. We looked at a ton of sinks in our search and it was a hard decision but glad we went with Ruvati. Its been installed a for a month now and we love it as much today as the day we installed it.

BIG- nicely finished, full grate, seems solid, completely coated w/sound deadening material on sides and bottom. Here we are in 2021, just installed sink and have only used it 5-6 times so can't comment on the "rust spots" others have had. One thing for all buyers to note is that this sink has at most a 3/4" overhang, sometimes less if there are two layers of sound deadening wrap on the body, so will fit in the same hole as your last 33x22 it might very well not fit below the counter top, and in some cases intrude on the neighboring cabinet (in my case the DW, so had to remove the 24" and put in an 18" model). Also in many cases can't use front tie-downs as no space, also best to put tie-downs in vise and pry open tab on end of clip, makes it a snap to catch tab from under sink- otherwise it is nearly impossible with the clip as is. Any competent woodworker or moderately skilled homeowner can do this. The sink body protruded not only into the DW space, it also just intruded into the lazy susan corner cabinet on the other side. Had to cut out cabinet behind upper door hinge so had to make plate to hold bracket in place, easy to fabricate from thin aluminum plate (3/16"). Love this sink, huge. Will update this post in a few months to asses spotting. SO- here we are after several months of use. NO spotting, no rust marks, no problem. A GREAT sink

I’m so excited! We bought a new house with an odd shaped double bowl sink - I don’t like double bowls and especially with that shape. I knew I wanted a Rugati but they didn’t make a single bowl undermount with a depth of 18”, which was the size the marble was cut to, so I reluctantly started looking at other brands and they simply don’t make them that big and since it’s an undermount, it needed to be exact. So then I started looking at top mounts and was excited to be able to get the Rugati that I had my heart set on. Unfortunately, I still had the task of finding someone who would cut the already installed marble countertop. Every stone place I called said it simply cannot be done but I finally found a guy an hour and a half away from me who could do it. He came here with his son, tools and two vacuums and a half hour later, I had my beautiful HUGE single bowl sink!! I don’t think I’m weird for being so excited over a sink, right? If you’re looking at this review, do your homework and due diligence but know that this is a beautiful, huge, quiet, wonderful sink! We have used it for several days since installation and there are no issues whatsoever. I’m very happy with this purchase.
