We have a whole wall window in our game room that gets direct sunlight for most of the day. We already have vertical blinds installed but they don’t keep all the sun out. My son finally agreed to getting blackout curtains so he can play video games during the day, he’s the type of person who is a major penny pincher. These particular curtains were within his range of reasonable so we took a chance on them. Although they are far from being 100% blackout, they do an excellent job of keeping the lines from the blinds from showing on the tv. I just wish I had gone with my gut and bought 3 sets instead of two, now I’m having to wait for the 3rd set to arrive, two sets weren’t enough to cover the entire window. My son loves them so much, he’s since purchased two more sets for his bedroom. The curtains are very wrinkled so you’ll need to steam them if wrinkles bother you. I have multiple sets of various blackout curtains in my house, no matter which brand or price I paid for them, none of them have naturally straightened out over time. ... show more

They work as intended. The pictures are about right. Blocks 80% of light coming through. I now get about 1 additional hour of sleep in the morning because of these. They're great. Make sure you measure your windows for your desired length before purchase.

I am pretty happy with these curtains. They definitely make my room much darker than before. I ordered 2 panels for one standard bedroom window and I actually could use a 3rd panel on the same window. 2 just doesn't quite cut it.

They look okay. They are not wrinkle free when you put them up right out of the box. You should wash them and then see if they need to be ironed. I haven’t done that yet. Most times black curtains have a slight undertone or they are a little sheer. These are super deep black and my sons room doesn’t show any light. It’s hard to get him up in the morning now but that just proves how good they really are!!
