My back of my home is south facing with a double glass door and many windows which results in it noticeably heating up in the back family room, even with ceiling fans and the a/c running. I have always had blackout curtains which were just O.K., but when I hung these, it was a complete transformation, you can really notice the difference. Not only does no sunlight get thru, but it is actually cool in the family room now. They also have a wide variety of colors and many different sizes, not just the standard sizes most typically sold and are much thicker and better made. BUY THEM! Look, I've purchased several brands of "blackout" curtains. I can tell you right now, for the price, these are phenomenal. 1. They are true light blocking. There is no light coming through the curtain. (pictured) In the photo, you can see that when the curtains are closed there is light around the curtain but not through it. I didn't place my curtains flat to the wall; I bought a bar that offered that option, but I left the blind covers above the window, and didn't want to deal with removing them. 2. The length/weight is perfect. They are not superrr heavy, but they have a good weight to them. This keeps them from moving around with the fan on. We have a standing fan, so I like that. Additionally, the length makes it so that they cover about a foot below the window, so I'm not worried about them catching the window ledge. 3. They block heat! Oh man, anyone living here in Texas knows that this heat is intense right now. They actively keep the bedroom from being so hot. Those windows (even tinted) let in lots of light and heat. It makes the bedroom hard to keep cool. The curtains block all that heat as well as the light, so it's a nice area to sleep during the day. For those that are overnighters, this is a good option to allow your body to rest since the light and heat are reduced significantly. 4. Cost efficient. These curtains are cheap considering their quality. The feel of the curtain smooth. The grommets make them easy to hang and lay beautifully. The color is a gentle sage green. I love green, but I didn't want a childish green. Love the tranquility of the color. Just do it. I bought two sets for both windows, and this is the first time I don't deeply regret spending the money. I wasn't paid for this review, and I don't normally leave long reviews. These curtains are nice quality, full black out and do the job. The brassy rings add to the look and ease of movement and they have good weight to them so don't go crazy when ceiling fans are on. Keeps heat and cool out!

I can not say enough about these I absolutely love these curtains I am a super picky person I am not easily pleased I hate to say that about myself but that is who I am they are so beautiful and the texture is amazing and they are perfect for my bedroom they are a 100 percent black out curtains and the linning is black on the underneath side these will diffently keep the cool in and are perfect for summer and winter the length again they are perfect thank you I did alot of research before I bought these so if you are on the fence and researching you can safely stop and buy these ... show more
