So far everything is very well packaged and there is no odd smell. The color goes on beautifully

  • Okay set. Not well rounded, all in one set. But cute for someone younger to try out items
Color: BL-40
I got the “BL-40” option. 🔴OVERALL THOUGHTS🔴 This is okay. There’s some good items and some not so good items. The makeup bag is nice, but includes a tiny mirror. The brushes aren’t good at all. The sponge is nice, but small compared to usual size of sponges. I really liked the face powder and unique container, but it’s small so not idea for the whole face. Concealer is nice and creamy but too sheer for me. Foundation is nice with good coverage but shade was too yellow and dark for my fair skin. Eyeshadow palette is tiny with tiny pans! Mattes are sheer but shimmers are really nice. I don’t trust the ingredient list since it’s the exact same for the eyeshadow palette and concealer palette. Formula of the lipstick palette is sheer and I don’t like the feel on my lips. Matte lips are matte and dry down if I do an extremely thin layer that I blend out. Brow pencil is okay but not my fave and the shade doesn’t work for me. I love the mascara with it’s really thin wand. I don’t think this is really an all in one Makeup Kit since the brushes won’t be useful for the full look and there’s no blush or bronzer included. You can use the shades in the concealer palette for bronzer and maybe the bright pink for blush? I’d say you could use some of the shades from the lip palette for blush but the pans are so small that might not be easy. It’s a cute set for someone younger to get a lot of different items to try. But not a great option if you really want a well-rounded all in one set. I give it 3 stars. 🔴MAKEUP BAG🔴 This comes in the makeup bag sealed in plastic wrapping. There’s no outer box or anything with product info on it. The makeup bag is black on the outside with a kind of shiny material that can easily be wiped off. It’s like a bag but hard like a box so it has support to it. There’s 2 zippers (1 that goes right and 1 that goes left) and there’s a metal handle to carry it. The zippers are nice and smooth. It’s actually a really cute bag that seems well made and durable. When you open it, the top has a small mirror in it. It’s REALLY small. The mirror slides out so you can remove it to clean it or to hold it closer (which is good since it’s so small) but it doesn’t have any kind of edges to hold it (just a small, rectangular mirror piece). The lid also has 3 elastic loops to hold items like lipgloss, brushes, etc. All the included products are nicely placed inside the makeup bag and all individually wrapped. 🔴BRUSH SET🔴 These come on an individual resealable plastic bag. The brushes aren’t good quality. The ferrules aren’t on the handles very snug. There’s space open between them on most of the brushes like they’re on crooked or not on right. They feel like they’ll come apart any second. The handles are scratched/scuffed and have thick seams on them. The brushes were shedding badly right out of the bag. There’s not a lot of brushes in this set that are going to be useful for most people, especially just wanted to get a basic look from them. There’s 3 that have sponge tips, which I like for applying shimmers/metallics because they pick up and apply the product just like I get with my finger, except the sponge tipped applicators give me precision I can’t get with my finger. There’s a spoolie brush for my brows, which is nice and soft. Not scratchy. The largest brush isn’t really that big. It’s a flat paddle type foundation brush. I don’t ever use those types of brushes for foundation, but even if I did this one is so small it would take a while to do my whole face. I show a photo of it next to some of the other brushes, so you can see how small it is when compared to the other brushes. Plus, like I said before, it was shedding really badly right out of the bag. The rest of the brushes are all really similar - small pointed, flat concealer/eyeshadow, and liner brushes. I personally like to do some more detailed and elaborate eye looks sometimes and use smaller, more detailed brushes to achieve that, so some of these brush sizes/shapes would be useful. Plus, I have really small, really hooded eyes so I do prefer smaller brushes. But, so many of these are basically the same and they’re not very useful even for more detailed looks. Plus, the quality isn’t there for these. There’s 4 flat concealer type brushes (1 larger one and 3 smaller ones), 8 kind of pencil brushes (2 larger ones - 1 pointed and 1 angled - and 6 smaller ones). There’s 3 angled brow/liner brushes (2 that are about the same size and 1 that’s smaller than the other 2). There’s 3 thin, straight liner brushes (2 that are about the same size and 1 that’s smaller than the other 2). It’s just not a very well-rounded set. Even for someone just starting out, you want to at least have some blending brushes and shading brushes, and this set doesn’t even have 1 blending or shading brush. It’s made up of mostly liner and detail brushes, which isn’t very useful to create a full eye look, especially everyday type eye looks. 🔴BLENDER SPONGE🔴 This is a pink teardrop sponge (pointed tip, rounded bottom). This is smaller than my usual sponges. I show a photo of this sponge (pink) next to one of my usual sponges (blue), and you can see how much smaller this sponge is compared to the other. Both sponges are dry in the photo. This sponge does get bigger once wet, but still not as big as my usual sponges. I don’t like my sponges to be too large - I want to be able to blend my foundation out easily and quick enough but still want to be able to get into smaller areas like my temples, around my nose, and around my eyes. This sponge being smaller does help get into smaller areas, but it does take longer to do my full face. The sponge works well. It’s soft and bouncy. 🔴LOOSE FACE POWDER🔴 This is in an outer product box. Brand name on it says “popfeel.” It has a manufacture and expiration date on it. There’s some other product info on it, I’m guessing maybe ingredients, but it’s not in English so I can’t read it. The box says this is a loose face powder with a matte finish and enhanced radiance. I’m not sure how you have a matte finish with enhanced radiance…usually it’s one of the other - matte or radiant? This is an interesting container. It’s a plastic jar. The top has a little handle on the top. I thought I would twist it and it would remove the lid, but a little puff came out! Inside there’s holes where the product comes out of and the puff connects to it when it’s twisted closed in there. Then you can use the puff to press the powder into the skin. I thought it was unique and cute. The middle part does twist open too (see photos). I actually like it a lot. It doesn’t get powder everywhere and is a unique container for loose powder. But, just too small to be practical. It’s cute for the purse to grab out and use for small areas. But for the whole face it’s way too small. Fortunately for me, I only ever powder in a few places because otherwise my face ends up looking dry. So, being small isn’t bad for me. But for someone who wants to use this all over their face, it’s too small. You’d have to take off the top and dip your brush into the jar but even then the jar is so small it wouldn’t go over the brush evenly. It says it’s shade “01,” which looks to be a transparent shade (at least on my fair skin). The powder doesn’t have any kind of scent. It’s finely milled. It sets foundation nicely. It goes on nice and smooth. It doesn’t look dry, cakey, chalky, or powdery. It helps my makeup last nicely. It looks matte but not dry matte. I actually was pretty impressed with it! 🔴CONCEALER🔴 This is in an outer product box that’s sealed in plastic wrapping. Brand name on it says “popfeel.” It has an expiration date on it. It’s made in China. Ingredients are on it in English. This is a stick concealer. It’s in a plastic tube that twists up. The stick is angled so it gets under the eyes nicely. It says it’s shade “FD01.” I’m usually not a fan of complexion products like concealer and foundation being in sets like these unless they let you choose a shade group (like fair, light, medium, dark). I’m quite fair, so usually shades included are too dark for me. But, I was pleasantly surprised this one was actually a light enough shade for me. A lot of stick concealers are waxy and feel dry going on and look dry on. But this one is creamy. It glides right on. It blends in easily. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have much coverage. It sheers out to basically no coverage at all. If I use a brush or finger to blend it in, I get a little more coverage. But to get real coverage, I have to really build it up and then it starts to emphasize every little line because there’s so much on. 🔴FOUNDATION🔴 This is in an outer product box that’s sealed in plastic wrapping. Brand name on it says “Lameila.” It’s made in China. There’s some other product info on it, I’m guessing maybe ingredients, but it’s not in English so I can’t read it. This comes in a really nice bottle! The top is plastic with the brand name on it over and over. The bottom is thick glass. It has a nice plastic pump on it. I was surprised how nice the bottle looked and felt! The outer product box said the shade is “03,” which had me a little worried it was going to be too dark. I was confused why they’d put an 01 type shade of concealer and an 03 type shade of foundation in the same set. But, once I opened the box and saw the foundation in the bottle, it didn’t seem like it would be too dark at all. It looked like a neutral fair to light shade. Unfortunately, when I actually pumped some of it out, it ended up being a lot darker and yellower than it looked in the bottle. I’m fair with a neutral leaning cool undertone. The depth of this I could have easily made work, but with it being so yellow it wasn’t so easy. With a thin layer, I was able to make it work in order to test it out on its own a couple times. But, after that I started using a mixer with it to lighten it and make it not so yellow. There’s no scent I noticed with this. It’s nice and creamy. It blends out easily with a brush or sponge. It gives nice coverage. I get medium coverage with 1 layer and medium to full with 2 layers. With 1 layer, It looks nice on the skin without looking dry, heavy, or cakey. It gives a natural finish. With 2 layers, it doesn’t look as seamless, but still doesn’t look bad. I was pleasantly surprised with this! Too bad the shade doesn’t match better! 🔴EYESHADOW PALETTE🔴 This comes in a black outer product box with the brand “popfeel” on the front. The back has a list of ingredients. It’s made in China. I don’t know that I trust the list of ingredients on this or the concealer palette. They have the exact same ingredient lists - a cream concealer palette and a powder eyeshadow palette have the exact same ingredients?! I don’t think so. Not to mention the little typos on the ingredient lists…doesn’t really make me feel confident in that. (See photos). The palette itself is plain black plastic, again no brand name, palette name, or any kind of product info on it. It’s just plain black on the front and back. It has clasp closure. It’s kind of thin and flimsy. There’s no mirror. I had to laugh when I took this out. It’s so small! With the palette having 40 shades and looking at the product photos, I thought it would be much larger - like the size of a Morphe palette (especially since this looked pretty darn similar to a Morphe palette). But it’s SO TINY! I had to measure it 😂 When closed, it’s just under 4” tall and just under 6” wide. The pan sizes are even smaller! They’re SUPER, SUPER SMALL - 0.5”! I can barely fit the tip of my finger in them! An eyeshadow brush will fit in there, but jeesh they’re small! I wasn’t about to swatch all 40 of these tiny pans, so I swatched some of the mattes and shimmers to give you an idea of colors and pigment. I did finger swatches on my clean forearm (no lotion, primer, etc.). Each matte is 2 layers, each shimmer is 1 layer. There’s 30 mattes and 10 shimmers. Mattes - These aren’t very pigmented. They’re sheer. I thought maybe it was just because it was hard to get my finger in the tiny pans to swatch them and never judge a palette based on swatches, but even on the eyes they didn’t pretty sheer. Some are better than others. But it’s definitely a mix of mattes that are bad and mattes that are good. There’s a lot of light shades and mid-tone shades, but not a lot of darker shades. There’s a black, so you can use that to darken up any of the other shades. But there’s so many similar mid-tone shades, I would have liked to have some other darker shades added in. Shimmers - These were great. They picked up easily, they were soft, smooth, and pigmented. Most of them had a creamy feel to them and glided on the skin with a beautiful sheen to them. Some of them were a little drier, had a lot of kickback in the pan, and a little less sheen, but still applied nicely. 🔴CONCEALER PALETTE🔴 This comes in a plain black outer product box (no brand name, no manufacture info, etc.). The back has a list of ingredients and that’s it. Kind of odd. The palette itself is plain black plastic, again no brand name, palette name, or any kind of product info on it. It’s just plain black on the front and back. It has clasp closure. It’s kind of thin and flimsy. There’s no mirror. This is small (same size as the eyeshadow palette), but it only has 15 pans so the pan sizes are bigger (a little over 1”). They’re creamy and pick up easily. But they don’t give good coverage. They kind of blend away to nothing. I’m fair so most of these shades wouldn’t be too useful for me. I thought about using some of the darker shades to try for bronzer, but since they just kind of sheered away I wasn’t sure how well they’d work. But, it gives a nice, light Bronze that works well with my fair skin. 🔴LIPSTICK PALETTE🔴 This comes in an outer product box that has the brand name “popfeel” and a bunch of different colors and lips on it. It’s made in China. The back has a list of ingredients. This ingredient list is actually is different from the ingredient list for the concealer and eyeshadow palette, so that’s good at least. Like the eyeshadow and concealer palettes, this palette is plain black plastic, again no brand name, palette name, or any kind of product info on it. It’s just plain black on the front and back. It has clasp closure. It’s kind of thin and flimsy. There’s no mirror. This palette is even smaller than the concealer and eyeshadow palette (4x3 inches)! But, since it’s a lip palette, I don’t mind it as much. The pans are slightly bigger than the pans in the eyeshadow palette (0.625”). The pans also dip pretty low, so being so tiny and dipping down so low I found it hard to get my finger into the pans. These aren’t very pigmented. It’s hard to get my finger into the tiny pans and really pick the product up. If I wanted to have an easier time, I had to use a brush and I didn’t like needing to get a brush to use it. It didn’t feel good on my lips either. Not drying but not hydrating either. 🔴LIP BALM & LIP CREAMS🔴 There’s a plain white tube of clear lip balm. It doesn’t have any outer packaging or seal at all. There’s no scent to it at all. It’s hydrating. It’s just a basic clear lip balm. The 2 matte lip creams are each sealed in plastic wrapping. The brand is “popfeel.” They’re made in China. There’s no ingredient list on them. You can see the shade of each on one the tube, which is nice. There’s no shade name but the bottom of each tube has a sticker with a shade number. One is a bright pink (“LA01”) and one is a brown nude (“LA09”). The matte lip creams didn’t seem to have a scent. They’re pigmented. A lot comes out on the doe foot. I did 1 swipe for each shade and took the doefoot and spread it out to make it an even layer and it just kind of kept going and stayed nice and even in pigment and coverage. It didn’t look streaky or uneven at all. Then I waited for it to dry…and waited…and waited…and waited. After 10 min, it still hadn’t dried! It still would transfer and smear! I then took my finger and kind of blended each one in to spread it out thinner and then it dried immediately. So when I tried it on my lips, I made sure to apply a very little amount and then blend it in with my finger. Going on it feels really smooth and hydrating, like a gloss. Not gritty or greasy like some matte liquid lips can feel. Once on, it dried down quickly. Then my lips felt pretty dry. I hate dry lips, so I’m not usually a fan of matte lips anyways. But, this wasn’t uncomfortable. It lasted well. I tried it on my lips another time without blending it in with my finger just to see if I’d get a different result from when I swatched them, and it was the same…just didn’t seem to want to dry down and kept transferring and smearing. So I definitely recommend blending it with your finger or blotting off excess to get it to dry easily. 🔴MASCARA🔴 This is sealed in plastic wrapping. The brand is “popfeel.” It doesn’t say where it’s made (I’m guessing China like the rest of the products) or ingredients. I have really small, really hooded eyes so I prefer thinner mascara wands. This is EXTREMELY thin! It gets each and every lash and separates and lengthens them well! It didn’t flake or smudge either. I really liked it! 🔴EYEBROW PENCIL🔴 This is sealed in plastic wrapping. The brand is “popfeel.” It doesn’t say where it’s made (I’m guessing China like the rest of the products) or ingredients. This is dual ended - one side is an eyebrow spoolie and the other side is the pencil. It’s an automatic pencil. It twists up. The brow pencil is angled. It says “2” on the bottom, so I’m guessing that means it’s shade 2. This is a light to medium, warm brown. The shade isn’t for me. I have dark brown hair and my brows are a dark, kind of muted charcoal. This is too light and too warm for me. The formula itself is okay. I like it to be a nice middle ground - creamy enough to glide on easily where I don’t have to press too hard, but waxy enough where it stays put. This is a little bit waxier than I’d like - I have to press a little harder than usual to get it to show up, but it does show up and lasts well. ... show more

  • Practical as a gift or for yourself
This is a nice makeup set with a handy case that works great as a gift or for restocking and organizing your own makeup. It holds quite a bit of your previously purchased makeup along with the pieces included in the set. I like how there is a kind of organizing space in the lid to hold the makeup tools like an eyelash comb, so they don’t get jumbled among the compacts and other makeup kept in the case. There aren’t organizers in the main section of the case, which is actually kind of handy, so I can just stack eyeshadow compacts, blush compacts, etc., inside and rummage around easily while not taking up a bunch of space with them all spread out or on shelves (etc.). I appreciate that it looks nice without any bright patterns and has a firm frame, so the case is truly portable while also being stackable and not allowing brush tips to bend, etc., like soft makeup bags do when the bag is in luggage or a similar situation. A few of the included makeups don’t have the same feel or blend-ability of some name brands, but if you don’t use makeup often, have preferences, want to explore, or it’s a starter for someone, I think it’s a great assortment of shades and products. ... show more

  • A Great Collection of All You Need for Makeup
Color: BL-40
This is a great startup kit of all you need for makeup. It comes with a nice makeup bag and a complete set of brushes that has different sizes and shapes to satisfy various needs. It has vibrant lip gloss colors and various shades for eye shadows. It also has a foundation and a concealer. However, I didn't find any makeup remover pads, only a powder puff. The mirror is also a bit too small. It would be ideal if every item has a label to indicate which is which and a quick makeup guide for makeup newbies . I'm a bit confused as to what the third pallet is for aside from lip pallet and eye shadow pallet. Maybe the third pallet is for blush. Although there is a total of 13 pieces instead of 14 pieces like what is advertised, it still has great value for so many items. ... show more
