This stuff is amazing - it really does create a mirror effect just like the name says! I've used other chrome colors on various projects but this is truly unique. I used this on an old coffee table project and wanted to make the glass look like a mirror by spraying the back side. The result was great and more mirror-like than I had imagined. My only complaint is that it was difficult to control drips while spraying, but that is a side effect of every spray paint I've ever used, so I didn't dock any stars for that. I folded a paper towel and put it under the nozzle so it wouldn't interfere with the line of spray, but would catch some of the stray drips and that helped somewhat. Like most people, I rely on honest product reviews to make purchase decisions. Because the experience of others has been so helpful to me, I try to provide honest, helpful reviews to assist other shoppers in selecting the right products for them. If you spray the INSIDE of clear glass, you WILL get a mirror effect. Thin coats, don't let it drip.. That means you sprayed too much. Multiple layers... Let each layer dry before adding another. You need at least 3 layers. Don't pick at IT. Be patient if you want it to look like you cared. If you expect a mercury glass look, you will be thrilled to see that you have an *almost* perfect mirror reflection. ON GLASS. The inside of the glass, not the outside. The way real mirrors have been made for hundreds of years. If you spray this on... Say... Plastic, wood, sand, fabric, fur costs, water... It's not going to work. So don't give it 1 star because you don't like instructions. If you spray ANY type of spray paint on Styrofoam, we'll there's no hope for you. This product was everything I hoped for, and I'm glad I read the reviews and selected the Rustoleum brand instead of the other brand that starts with K. I find that brand has been thoroughly unreliable the past few years. ... show more

I purchased this mirror paint to use on an antique window that I bought. We cleaned the window using a hose and then windex. We then applied the paint directly to the clean glass with a sweeping motion. We did use the whole can on the window because it takes several costs to fully cover a glass surface. At first, we were a bit worried that it was not reflective. It becomes reflective when it dries though. It left an antique mirror look. It is exactly the look we were hoping for. I love my antique window / mirror. It was a fun and easy project. The paint also was completely dry within an hour. I will do this again if I find another window. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Rust-Oleum 267727 Specialty Mirror Spray, 6-Ounce I can't believe how nicely this stuff worked! I used it on a 10 gallon aquarium background and it looks so very nice. Make sure to use it on the outside, not inside...

This stuff really does work on glass, I didn't have any luck spraying it on Lexan though. I added a picture of an old outdoor parking lot light lense that I sprayed to turn into a convex mirror.

I have used this on multiple projects. I think depending on your expectations, it works quite well. I used it to make mercury glass out of some clear glass in a buffet I purchased (I didn't want to be able to see through). That is the first picture For that effect: Mixed half vinegar and water and sprayed on the glass (behind the glass) and let it bead up for about 4 minutes Sprayed Wait about 10 minutes and gently tissue off water Repeat (depending on how thick you want it and how much of the black you want to show through) Spray back with black spray paint For my built-in that had horrible dated amber glass (but the glass was a PAIN to remove and I didn't want to deal with it) sprayed the back of the glass with black spray paint sprayed the front with 50/50 vinegar mix wait to bead spray front with glass let dry about 10 minutes and gently tissue off repeat glass step (depending on how glassy you want it to look) clear coat spray paint on front General tips it looks better painted on the back of glass but it's not always an option a clear or top coat helps OR paint final layer black makes it shinier on the other side of the glass probably generally works better if you're trying to make something that looks vintage and not perfect. Fun thing to have around for up-cycling old vases and such. ... show more
