This saved me thousands of dollars! I’ve trying to get a contractor come give me a bid to replace the shower stall, they never showed! So I came across this and thought I’d give it a try. -the primer is thick and settled on the bottom, my husband put an attachment on his drill and in less than 5 minutes, it was mixed and read to use, no big deal -it is extremely strong, we have no fan in the bathroom, 4 days later I’m still flying high 🤣 probably should have masked up or used a fan -I sanded the fiberglass shower with 220 grit, then used a cloth to wipe it off, then started priming. -cranked my thermostat to 75 degrees, the primer dried and I started painting within an hour. On my 36” shower, I had just enough primer to do the walls and pan with one coat. Then I used the Rust-Oleum paint and did only one coat, had leftover paint from my one quart can. It was close with the primer, I was definitely sweating running out, but one quart accomplished the job. -start to finish including sanding, primer, and paint, only took 4 hours -End result…. I spent $70 and it looks like a new surround, wish I had done it 2 years ago when I bought the house! ... show more

    • Received 9 dented cans of primer today... no packing!!! Just loose cans banging against each other.

The media could not be loaded. Update: primer is very good but Amazon's packing is the worse I've ever seen! ....................... So my primer and white paint came i today for my RV. White gloss as least had some air bubble packing....half were deflated... but just one can was slightly dented..... My 9 cans of primer did not do so well as they did not put any packing in it! Good think it had metal clamps holding the lids on or it would of been a huge mess! I did not see any leaks and at least the paint was shaken up well for me ; ) I'm going to use it as it and hope Amazon will take back any I do not use! Reason I kept it as another guy posted that he had the same problem... sent it back and had the same problem once again! Multi cans of paint and Amazon warehouse packing do not mix well ; ) Do you think Amazon will respond to this post? Probably not. I will update how the paint turns out on my RV maybe post some more pics tool ... show more

I used this to paint my fiberglass shower and Tub. I kept a window open while painting and wore a cloth mask. The smell is strong but It’s not as terrible as some of the reviews. I cleaned my shower several times and sanded the walls. Paint looks fabulous. I used the primer first waited 2 days then painted it. It’s been almost 1 1/2 months and I’m very pleased with this product. ... show more

I'm glad I had experience painting before I used this primer (for the record, it was applied at 52 F, 32 pct humidity, with a 4" roller). The primer doesn't give you much time to work, so make sure you have a brush and everything else you might need at hand. I used roughly 3/4 of a qt. to cover my 17' canoe with one coat. I could still see some small surface scratches after I finished, which I thought might have filled in a little better (the boat was a mess before I did the fiberglass repairs, so I can't complain too much), but overall, I'd say it's a good product, and it did cover very uniformly. Great product, can't get it locally, glad to have a way to get it. Frustrated that I had to have it reshipped. I notice lots of reviews where cans arrive damaged or leaking. Here's a couple of tips. You can't click "return" because paint is marked as HazMat, but you can contact Amazon support via chat and tell them the problem, and they will reship. Don't waste time leaving a 1-star review, the problem is with the seller and the shipment, not the product. Even though my order was reshipped, I got annoyed with the organizational incompetence that it takes to put one plastic balloon in a box with ten pounds of paint, and decided to escalate further. It turns out that Amazon has already been fined and sued multiple times by the DOT/FAA for poor packaging of hazardous materials recently. When my delivery was canceled by UPS and marked as damaged, I found my regional FAA HazMat investigation contact on the FAA website and sent a description of the issue and a link to the tracking information. I got a response within 15 minutes - you can also comment to "FAASafetyBrief" on Twitter, a friend with FAA contacts tells me they have a policy to follow up on all Social Network comments. If you Google Amazon reviews for "leaking", "dented", "damaged", etc you'll find literally hundreds of thousands of reports, for everything from cat food to cans of gas and oil. If everyone this happens to reports it, Amazon will be forced to pay attention and solve this problem. ... show more

I used this paint to refinish an acrylic tub. It works like a dream. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS, prep and use a foam roller. I wish I had a before picture. The finish is near perfect. Total cost? $75.00 including roller covers. The cost to replace or refit? $3000.00
