I paid about $37 for the 8 pack, which means they raised the price since Christmas is coming. Just FYI. I think that $37 was a reasonable price for them but closer to $50 like they are now is definitely pushing it. These look nice. They are meant to be decorative (not a real fence) so they are sturdy enough for that purpose. They are made from wood, easy to put together, and heavy enough to stand on their own but light enough to handle easily. The cats dont really tend to jump or climb the tree, they just eat the needles at the base for whatever reason and then cough them up. I needed something to keep them from getting sick without sacrificing having a tree. This was a far better solution than some of the ideas on the internet that looked bad. This actually looks like part of the decorations.

3 star because it took long to get it and we couldn't really test it out during a holiday season to see if it keeps the cats away from munching our fake tree. I can tell you that I understand now why so many people complain of not receiving the hinges with their fences. We too were short 6 hinges. We contacted seller to have them sell us six hinges. Seller has their shipping done through Amazon. Amazon said they cannot send us hinges but that they sent us another set of fencing and told us to take out the hinges we needed and to send the fencing back. When we got them they were already opened once, so I'm guessing someone else already had received them, took out what they wanted and sent them back. In the end, they look cute and although lightweight, seems like once they are all hinged together they will be hard for the cats to tip over. Will see next christmas season.

This little fence not only looks good it keeps my dogs away from the tree. It was super easy to put together, although other reviewers are correct, it comes with the wrong kind of screwdriver. Nice fence will have many years of use!

Ordered with the intention of keeping baby away from tree. But I couldn't even put it together. Screws were tiny and the provided screwdriver was way too big and a flathead when a Phillips head was needed. It's so small and flimsy it wouldn't have met our need anyway. Disappointing, waste of money.

Very nice sturdy wooden fence. Looks great! Going to get more. I used as a gate to block my elderly blind dog from getting into the back area of our house. Low enough we can step over and the cats can jump. It’s so nice going to get some for around the Christmas tree. Much sturdier than the last two plastic ones that broke quickly. Definitely worth the money!!

I love these. They were exactly what I expected. (Think wooden slats used to stir paint). They are the perfect height and size of wood to not distract from the tree but to keep the small doggies out. I just ordered more for my other trees I plan to put up next year. I like the solid white that will go with all the different style trees.
