  • Works great, excellent customer service
Color: D-8K Fiber Gen3/C UHS Certified (RUIPRO ... Size: 50FT
Can someone actually say Ruipro's customer service is actually 'too' good?! Read on... I did a lot of research, needing a 50 ft cable for my new home theater after moving into a new house with an existing theater. My previous theater used a 30 ft cable so the length was not a huge issue, but at 50 ft, I knew I'd be safer going with Fiber Optic. Ruipro kept popping up as one of the highest rated. Since I had to fish the cable through a conduit in the ceiling, I also figured a cable rated specifically for that purpose was also in order. Added to all that, I also wanted a cable that was certified, harder to find with Fiber Optic of this length. Ruipro checked all the boxes. So, I ordered it. It is indeed certified, confirmed through the app. The cable arrived in a sturdy box and was well packed within it. Careful instructions made sure to let us know this cable is not bidirectional. While I knew this, it seems some people do not and connect it the wrong way then have issues and blame the cable. One end is for Source (BD player, Firestick, etc.), another for Display such as TV or Projector). Good for Ruipro to spell this out clearly. I tested the cable and all was fine. I fished the cable through the ceiling and set it all up. It worked great. Good picture quality and refresh rate. Works well with my Nakamichi sound bar and Epson LS11000 projector. Blu-rays 1080 and 4K, great! I watched several movies with no issues. Now...a couple of weeks later we decided to stream a movie rather than watch one on Blu-ray. Halfway through the movie, the video blacked out for about 10 seconds while the sound was still going. It did this a few times. My heart sank. My previous home theater had a BenQ projector (my second one) which gave us enough of a hassle for me to change to Epson this time, so now having new issues and knowing it was not the projector I was like, "WHAT NOW?!" A litlle research pointed to the HDMI, which honestly is like a therapist blaming the parents but alas, I reached out to Ruipro not expecting much. I also placed an Amazon replacement order for the cable because unless I had a second cable to test against, I would not be able to tell if indeed it was the cable that was the problem. When something goes awry in a home theater, the process of elimination begins and usually starts with the HDMI cable. Lo and behold, while Amazon was already sending me a replacement, Ruipro contacted me and sent me one too! I tried to tell them not to, but could not stop it because Ruipro was THAT fast! Ruipro asked me to send the 'defective' one back for testing, which I would do. So, I got Amazon's replacement cable and tested it out. The streaming video still blacked out once in a while. Ugh. Well, at least now I knew it was not the cable. Then the Ruipro cable arrived. Now I had THREE cables sitting here. Guess what ended up being the issue? The Amazon Firestick! More research led me to test the Firestick (reboot, change HDMI ports, etc.) and then buy a new one. The new one worked with no issues and now streaming is perfectly fine. Apparently, this loss of video while audio still runs is a known Firestick issue, even though until now I never experienced it (I own two...well, three now). Good to know it is not always the parents...er...cable's fault. Thankfully, it was not the sound bar or projector, which would have been a nightmare, but it would have also made no sense since Blu-rays worked just fine. Why would streaming be the issue? Duh...it was the Firestick.... Back to Ruipro. I wrote back to Thomas at their customer service to explain it all and asked them how to return the one they sent me, which was unopened, so they could sell it. While I need to send back the Amazon replacement so as not to get charged for it, Ruipro told me to keep theirs! Wow. Bottom line: it is not always the HDMI cable. Also, and more importantly, Ruipro's customer service is fantastic. They go above and beyond, stand behind their product and care about the customer...these days, a miracle. So, they now have a lifetime customer in me, because I know should I ever have an HDMI cable issue, they'll stand behind it. Of course, don't expect you'll get a free cable from them just by yelling 'defective,' as my issue was a complicated one, and they WILL want your defective one to test it out (which ultimately helps us all), but the fact that they went above and beyond for me, that spoke volumes! And this tale ended well. ... show more

  • Latest Tech for Long HDMI Runs
Color: C-8K Fiber Gen3/C CL2 Rated Size: 20FT
Needed a fiber optic 20ft cable with the most up to date features (8K, 120@4K, Wifi 2.2, etc.) and if you use an HDMI cable more than 15 feet that's not fiber optic, you will have service degradation. These cables work perfectly and are also in wall rated. Be careful because they are uni directional, meaning you have to hook the display side into your TV and the input side into your Apple TV or Xbox, etc. Picture quality looks excellent and better than my legacy HDMI cables. ... show more

  • Works perfectly – worth every penny
Color: E-8K Fiber Gen3/C UHS Certified CL2 Rated Size: 25FT
After trying several cables from generic Chinese brands that just didn’t work or kept dropping signal, this Ruipro fiber optic cable has been an absolute game changer. I’m using it with an RTX 5080 connected to a Samsung QN90D 4K 120Hz HDR TV, and it performs flawlessly — no signal loss, no glitches, just perfect video and audio quality. I’ve tested it both directly connected to the TV and through the Lytmi Neo 3 for ambient backlighting, and it works perfectly in both scenarios. You can tell it's made from high-quality materials, and the performance speaks for itself. It’s the only cable that has truly delivered on its promises, and in my opinion, it’s well worth the price for the reliability and peace of mind it offers. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Plug the Cable in Directly - No Keystones or Adapters
Color: A-8K Fiber Gen3/C Size: 100FT
Installed this cable in my wall to go from RTX 3090 -> Sony Z9J for gaming (120hz HDR w/ VRR). INSTALL: I had the cable professionally installed, but the install cost me a lot more money than I anticipated due to the size of the HDMI connector. I was hoping looking at the pictures that the HDMI connector was small enough to fit through the holes drilled by my local ISP for ethernet, but no dice. I would love to see a fiber option from RUIPRO that has slim fiber cables and detachable HDMI ends. This would make it so much easier and cheaper to run the cable long distances, and we could leverage existing runs or small conduit to run the cable instead of extensive drilling and drywall tearing. I made sure to work with the installers to ensure the source/display ends were on the correct side, a friend of mine had one installed backwards and ended up having to pay twice. Performance: At first I had a really difficult time getting 120hz / HDR / VRR or any other 'advanced' display output settings to work. I struggled and struggled, changed HDMI ports, format settings, graphics drivers, etc. I realized my issue was that I used (supposedly) 8k capable keystone jacks and 8k cable 6' cables to connect from the keystones to the source/destination devices. This cable likes to be plugged in *directly*. As soon as I removed the keystones and ran the cable all the way to the source/destination I get flawless 120hz with HDR and VRR working in Windows. I also tested 8K on the 8K port and that is working as well. However, on the Z9J 8K is gimped in some cases so I did not test it extensively. 8K/60p works flawlessly. ... show more
