The bad of this phone – not much and one issue possibly not even the phones fault. I use LastPass for my password control. The phone keeps shutting off the automated portion of LastPass (auto fill). I’m working on this issue. The other is that the USB connection on the bottom for charging the phone is covered with a rubber cover. I understand this is for water proofing, but every product that I’ve had that has this type of cover, the rubber holding the cover to the phone wears out quickly. I expect this cover to fall off within the year. Some sort of slide cover would be better. Really though, both are very minor issues. Yep, that’s it for the bad. The good is much better - The phone is certainly durable. I really like the rubber coating which makes the phone easy and secure to hold. One purchaser complained about the on/off button being overly sensitive. I haven’t found that to be the case. On the phone I have it takes normal pressure to push the button. The phone is very fast, meaning responsive. Taking pictures is a matter of just a second for the phone to focus and snap the picture. Apps come up quickly, and switching between them is also fast. The audio is plenty loud. I also noticed that the phone picks up the AT&T cell towers in my area very quickly and with a good strong signal. I had a cheaper cell phone (about half the price) that performed about the same, half the performance. For the price, this is a very nice phone. I especially appreciate the vendor/seller listing that the phone has GPS, gyroscope/accelerometer, and magnetic compass installed. Most advertise the picture quality but forget the importance of listing all the features of the phone. I use these three features with applications I’ve installed. My prior cheaper Android phone didn’t have these features, so the phone wasn’t as useful as I needed. Listing these features on this phone was what made me finally choose this phone over others. I did a lot of research and this phone topped others for quality, features, and looks for the price range. The screen is bright and the battery life is pretty good. My sim is the original sim out of my long time past iPhone, which has worked in my prior Android phone as well as this one. Phone is well packed with features. Supports all major and latest networks (I am on LTE on the AT*T network using FreedomPop) Highlights: - Screen is super bright.. I cant set the slider higher than about 1/2 without lighting up the whole room. - Speakers are good - Controls are simple and work well - Rubber doors are easy to use... I suppose there is no way to have a "waterproof" phone without gaskets... but it does make plugging the charge cable a bit cumbersome... which leads me to the next point.. - USB port is standard MicroUSB, not USB3, which would have helped the cable plugging issue, because there is no Up/Down orientation for the plug. - The "case" is built into the phone. I call that a plus... the phone's material feels good to the touch...has a rubberized feel to it. - 3Gigs RAM (good compromise)... phones with 1Gig or less are basically useless now. 2Gb is baseline.. 3 feels like a decent upgrade. 4 Would be nice.. but really... 3Gb is plenty for 99% of us. - 16 Gigs of internal storage.. baseline... at least it aint 8... I would take 32. But 16 aint bad. - Camera produces good pics... in low and high light... in zoom in or out shots... all around good Cons - Battery charging is slow... even on "turbo" chargers. The internal circuitry does not seem to recognize the extra available power - Phone is a bit heavy. It feels "stout", given the shockproof/drop-proof rating.. but feels heavier than it should. I suppose that is a personal preference - the tray for SIM/MicroSD card is very flimsy. I seriously feared breaking it... be cautious A new, unlocked phone... feels good, performs well, looks great... $100... return guarantee... Not much risk If this phone fits your mark... buy it...no fear - ... show more

This is really a strong durable phone.Considering the price, I did not expect much. But when I picked up the phone, I was surprised at its shape and size, the material of the outer rubber cover makes it feels good in hand. It was dropped several times on the floor, but no cracks and works well...this phone is truly waterproof,tooks fantastic pictures under water. I bought the phone for its rugged features, latest Android 9 Pie version, and price. I was very pleasantly surprised that it picks T-Mobile everywhere I go, including backwoods deer hunting. None of the previous 10 cellphones I owned could even pick up T-Mobile consistently at home or in town. The Blackview 5500Pro is absolutely amazing in terms of cellphone reception. Android 9 Pie performs very well. All of my apps work fine. I can't really comment on camera since I don't use it alot. ... show more

As a retired Infantryman I was impressed with the durability and 'solidness' of the product. Originally I was somewhat dissapointed by the call quality, but as it turned out that was due to a discount, very discount, service provider I was trying . I switched back to my original provider and it's been loud and clear. In fact the clarity and volume of the sound is much better than my previous phone. All in all the solidness of the phone reflects the quality of the product. It 'feels' solid.
