The harness is of good quality. I like the design of two pockets on the harness. It really frees my hand. Also the grip on top provides good control of my dog when I need it. The problem I have with the harness: strap is bit easy to loose. I don’t know if it is because my dog has too much power, but the tightened strap got loose in the middle of a walk. I wish they have done more work to have a tighter strap.

I have been searching for something for my service dog to wear to carry the contents of my purse. He's a rough Collie, which means very long hair, so anything with velcro is a disaster. This pack is not bulking, but my dog is able to carry everything I need. He actually gets excited when he sees me pull out his "work rig." All the many places where it can be adjusted made it fit him perfectly! I was getting very discouraged until I found the Ruffwear Switchback. Just an FYI - I don't use it as a harness, as I prefer a martingale collar for better control, but I did try it that way, several times, to see if he could get out of it, which is always a concern with a harness. He couldn't! So two thumbs and four paws up for this one!!!

I liked this for a little while. I wish it were more adjustable. After a month or less my dog gained too much weight to get it on. It also seems to rub under the armpits and the pouch is not terribly useful. Expensive and sturdy, but not something I would buy again. It needs much longer straps.

I have a 50lb Husky/Heeler mix and purchased a medium. After sizing the vest to my dog, none of the steps were maxed-out. The staps allow for a bit of space to tighten and a lot of room to loosen - I believe a small would have also fit my dog. The product is very durable and is excellent in different weather conditions. My dog and I have run in heavy snow, and it kept her dry. The pockets are great for pooper bags, treats, and other small items. I use it mainly to run with my dog, and it sometimes shifts depending on the side she is running on. The straps are difficult to adjust. However, once the straps are in place, they don't move. Overall, the vest doesn't rub and is excellent for people looking to run with their dogs.

Our pit mix has very short hair and a mostly bare belly. The rear straps on this harness rubbed chafed her bare areas after only a day of west. This isn’t necessarily an indictment of the product (maybe there isn’t a solution to this problem), but I wish there were some sort of padding on the back straps to prevent this from happening.
