I love this stuff. I've used it as a liner in my enclosed trailer, and now in my cargo van (see pics). It lays flat once unrolled for a few minutes, and can easily be cut with heavy duty scissors. I radiused the corners so it doesn't lift, and squared up the edges. Both times I ordered this, it came about 6" longer than ordered, so you have room to square it up. I chose this particular mat as it was thicker than other options. Very pleased with the thickness and quality out of the box. It lays fairly flat out of the box. The outside part of the roll is completely flat whereas the inside where it was rolled most tightly is up a bit but I am thinking it will relax over time. I did not notice the smell others noticed. (It is rubber, it has a rubber/oily smell which is expected.) ... show more

I ordered this rubber flooring to use in the house under our new puppy's dog playpen. It is SUPER! I have to say that the smell was unpleasant for a few days, but not overpowering. I would recommend laying it out in the garage for a few days to let the smell dissipate, had I known, but it was not a huge deal, and certainly not a deal breaker. This flooring works great to protect the flooring and gives puppy a nice play area. It also cleans up great! When we no longer need the indoor playpen for puppy, we will use it in our garage and I am sure we'll like that, too! I can highly recommend this product! ... show more

    • Heavy & good quality, but you will need to trim

4x5 ft diamond plate rubber mat. Mat is heavy & good quality (does have a strong rubber smell, but in my application [outside], it doesn't matter). My application is for a short bed pickup bed mat (so needed to custom cut - wheel wells & such). Ended up working great ($40 bucks versus $100-plus for a custom truck mat - every bit as good, if not better). My only issue (and why 4 vs 5 stars), is that the ends are not cut square. They cut this off a large roll (so side to side is uniform [and actually about 48.5" wide], but ends are not cut square). I'd also note they do give you a few extra inches - my piece was 63 inches long, vs 60) - but you will need to trim square if you want it to look good. The heavy rubber is a chore to cut, but with care, a good exacto knife, & a square you can make it plum (and still have an inch or two to play with). ... show more

This rubber flooring is durable, doesn’t come up, easy to install and even easier to clean. The Diamond pattern looks nice and the installation only took a few minutes. I am pretty meticulous with my garage so this was a perfect tire runner. I recommend this product.

Good gracious people for those that complain about the smell, rubber smells, have you ever been in a tire shop? The smell will go away. I have this mat in my garage under and out from my work bench. saves the concrete from stains and works very well. I purchased this mat almost two years ago and it is still going strong. It has all kinds of chemical spills, hot solder, you name it. The mat is holding up great. If you don't like the smell, I suggest purchasing something plastic. This mat was exactly what I wanted. Right thickness, felt very durable, good length and width at a good price. Diamond plate. BUT, there were a few issues that made me return it. 1. Item was heavily dirt stained upon receipt. I tried to scrub it off with water and some light cleaner but it was going to take detergent and a heavy scrubbing. 2. The packing material was soaked on delivery. The cardboard center tube was soggy wet and deteriorated. 3. Item was folded around a rectangular cardboard center piece (the piece that was wet), not rolled, so it had heavy creases in it and a lip on each end that have shown no signs of flattening out after three weeks of laying flat. 4. Item smells bad. After three weeks I can still smell it when I open the door to my two car garage. I bought this to line the floor in the back of a cargo van. I can't use it for that. The odor would be unbearable in the small enclosed space. Used in a large open space and if properly packaged this probably would have been okay to keep. But for my needs and for the poor packaging ... show more

I don’t know if some people are just ignorant or if they’ve been living under a rock their entire life but this is just as advertised. Anyone who has common sense knows how rubber smells especially when it’s new. It’s normal. Also it doesn’t mean it’s old cause you see the white on the rubber mat. Good price and fast shipped.but if you are needing square edges I can tell you that mine wasn’t cut too square but that’s easy to fix. I used it to cover the uncovered part of the floor in my toy hauler. Came out good. ... show more
