I took a chance and bought this Rtic vs brand Y and recommended this cooler, reasons; Handy and fits exactly between my dog kennel and jeep gladiator bed. Handle vs strap much more handy than some strap.. ( don’t believe the reviews that say it’s flimsy and pull off) I 6’3 “ and about 220 lbs stout and reach in my truck and jerk it out and cooler comes out full of ice and c’ol drinks. Feet stay stuck on and put , keep cooler from sliding round back of truck.. Drains front and back handy depending on if you parked up or down.” Get a full drain on cooler. This cooler will always stay in back of the truck for me and my Buddy have a cold drink / whatever.. int Texas this is mandatory. It will stay cold for 1-2 days for sure./ Tip: get that cable lock and slip clip to at least someone wanting this cooler.. slow them down.. they gotta come back with bolt cutters.. Lastly - Great value.. and Amazon great shipping service.. “ Get ya one” !!!

Fantastic cooler. Bought this for our kayak and it is awesome. The handle is very sturdy and well made. Keeps things cold for a long time and very easy to carry/use. Buying this one made us want a larger one for the house! Would recommend and will likely purchase a larger one down the road.

Definitely recommend. I work a blue collar job and this ice chest sits in direct sunlight everyday. Ice retention is great, obviously ice melt through the day but still have plenty of ice by end of day. Mind you i live where it gets 118-120 most of the year and you can imagine how hot it gets in a car( where it lives most of my shift) use it everyday without dissapointment. Only negative for me is the handle which slips out when you are pulling from the side( like sliding it from one side of the cab to the other. Other than that,I would definitely purchase again.

Great cooler! Exceeded my expectations. Keeps ice 2 - 3 days. If your pre-cool it with ice before filling it up, ice will last 3+ days. I've only owned and used it a little over a month; but I am very satisfied. No problems with construction or shipping, as a hand full of people reported. Yes, it is heavy, so if you want a cooler for a day at the beach or lake, you will want to choose a lighter type. But that's the trade off for superior cooling. Now for the important stuff. It will hold about 12 - 15 bottles of beer or cans. I would recommend a maximum of 12 in order leave plenty of room for ice. Sorry Yeti fans, but this RTIC is a great, less expensive option. I do recommend.

It's a nice, rugged, well built cooler and it works a little better than ones that aren't roto molded. But I admit I was disappointed when an 8lb bag of ice barely lasted two days. After reading the ad copy I had really hoped it could keep ice for a 3 or 4 day trip without having to make a run somewhere for ice. In their defense, I don't "condition" the cooler for use, as recommended, by putting it in a refrigeration unit of some kind before use. Who does that? And I didn't follow the suggested formula for 2/3 ice and 1/3 food and beverages, so you COULD get more ice time out of it than I do. But it’s pretty small to begin with so that 1/3 recommended space formula doesn’t leave you much room for anything. Anyway, it's better than average and I'd recommend it on that count, but don't expect to be amazed by ice retention.

I love it! Perfect size for my jeep. Tip- For your ice to last longer, keep it out of the sun and /or cover it with a wet towel. Even in Texas summer your ice can last a few days.
