I bought this for school lunch box. It is great sturdy lunch box that is extremely durable. The only complaint I have is there are no side wall ice packs in this version. I have been looking for the right size ice packs and yet to locate. However, the smaller lunch box ice walls fit in it fine and I put one in top and one in bottom daily. If I were using this for cooler, It would take up space, and I am afraid it would not be as durable to throw ice in here, It could leak. I prefer not to fold this, as it has a crease in the bottom, and since we use for lunch we want it nice and open. Overall for what we are using it for, great value for the money. It also has built in bottle opener on the front.

I love this lunch box. It's a great size and weight. I take it to work everyday, have spilled coffee on it, and it still looks nearly brand new. I think this will last a long time.

So I needed to upgrade my previous lunch box/ cooler. Not because it failed me but I needed a little more than it could provide. It is over 30 years old. I am a fan of RITC so the choices were easier. I needed something that could hold more ice packs and still have room for more. I found this. I ordered this and the small 2 pack ice pack set with this. So, this comes and be stored in a small package. Once opened- I can carry the 2 aforementioned ice packs, 3 cans of Coke, a 12 ounce bottle of Gatorade, 2 Uncrustables, and an Igloo ice pack. I use the Igloo as a middle layer which helps with insulation and temperature maintenance. I call it as a 8 hour lunch box due to if you work longer- you might want to carry more. Overall performance, it maintains a level of coolness for the majority of a 8 hour shift. It is easy to carry fully loaded without worry of something breaking but it comes with a sling. I love the bottle opener that is included. There are outside pockets to store extras like cutlery. It is pretty much waterproof with the exception of the natural weak point of the zipper- but it is not condensation proof because I find plenty of condensation on the bottom outside of the box but that is expected ( basic thermodynamics). Don’t confuse condensation with leaking. It is a soft bag, so long term durability- I say pretty good since there isn’t anything to really break with the box itself. The handles are sewn in so there might be a weakness in the stitching over time but nothing that would affect the overall performance of the box. I would buy this.

Im surprised at how well this keeps things cold. I put this little guy in the floorboard of the back seat of my car for cold drinks on hot days, really nice for going to concerts and stashing some iced coffee for afterward as well. That way late at night I've got something cold and caffeinated after an evening of heavy metal. Only reason its 4 stars is the zipper gets stuck on the corners.

First time mom here, and I was looking for a daycare drop off bag that would actually keep milk cool in the Phoenix summers. Bonus points if it could be used for something else without looking like a daycare bag once kiddo doesn’t use this for daycare anymore. This cooler very snuggly and practically perfectly fits 6 of the narrow width 8oz Dr browns plastic bottles with room for those bottle shaped ice pack(s). I thought this wouldn’t zip when I first put the bottles in here, but because it is soft sided it juuuust snuggly does without forcing the zipper at all. The bottles are held on the top and bottom so I think it would be impossible for them to tip over, especially with ice packs. We have another RTIC cooler that does extremely well in the Phoenix heat, and based off of how this looks and feels I believe this one is going to do very well too. I will note that I also have the glass version of the 8oz Dr browns bottles, and these are too big to fit height wise, and are very snug width wise, as the are just a bit thicker being glass. But our daycare requires the plastic bottles so this is perfect for our needs. I also put a few standard Kroger waters in here for reference, it fits 3 across. The beer bottle opener is also easily removable for daycare, lol. Overall I’m very very happy with this and am hopeful it will hold up over time.

This little RTIC cooler is a perfect size for what I needed. It came flat and folded and pops up upon opening so easy to fold back up and store as needed. It spacious and can fit food, drinks and an ice pack or two easily. The inside is easy to clean with the waterproof plastic lining. I had multiple frozen packs in the cooler from 8-12 am and they stayed frozen throughout and beyond.

I bought this to replace my Buc-ee's lunch box when the zipper teeth/fabric broke after 4 years of heavy use daily at work and on occasional weekend outings. The RTIC is listed as having an 8 can capacity but it's noticeably smaller than my old one which doesn't list a can count on websites, but shows pics of it holding only a six pack. Sometimes I pack frozen meals that come in awkwardly shaped boxes and I have a feeling they won't fit in the RTIC. The front and side pockets are almost useless. My Buc-ee's box could fit my pencil case and a small sketch pad in the front, as well as a small water bottle on either side. The front pocket on the RTIC is credit card thin and only has room for very thin things like tea bags or wet wipes. You can stuff your phone in there but that's pushing it. The side pockets have a little more room but don't stretch out enough to hold my water bottle but they will hold my chapstick, travel size toothbrush & paste, and floss. I'm really happy with the build quality. The lining is thick and feels high quality unlike the Buc-ee's box which had a really cheap feeling liner. It's much better insulated. The netted compartment on the inside of the lid is nice too, my old one didn't have that. Overall it's a nice lunchbox. I'm going to keep this one but when it breaks I'll probably be looking at other brands that have more cargo space.
