  • i like this product
CGM Labs Super rTG Omega 3 combines rTG Omega 3, CoQ10, and Vitamins D & E to promote a healthy heart and overall well-being. The synergistic effect reduces the risk of high cholesterol-induced illnesses. I LOVE that fact that this product is made from Norwegian fish oil. It is known to be from the finest waters, this formula ensures purity and potency. Perfect for heart support and overall well-being. They claimed no fishy burps, and what I actually got was peppermint burps! So that's a plus. Also, they claim to be the freshest on the market with oxygen and hydrogen absorbers, along with nitrogen sealing. It does seem like they are very serious about delivering fresh omega 3 and extended shelf life. ... show more

  • Minty no after burp taste.
Anyone who has taken a fish oil without some sort of digestive aid knows exactly what in talking about when I say no fish burps with this. You can actually taste the mint a little when you take these. The extra d3 and supplements are nice too. I feel a little more energetic through the day. The supply is nice for the price too. ... show more

  • Loops like your stard fish oil capsule but with many more ingredients.
1st thing I do with new edible item i buy is to figure out if the ingredients are real or not and if pills/gummys contains the listed ingredients. The capsule content was not very fishy but surprisingly tasted like peppermint which was the last ingredient on the list of "other ingredients" responsible for that pleasant surprise. Personally I would prefer to have tasted more fish oil rather then peppermint. The bottle is well made completely black to prevent light/uv from damaging/degrading the oils/vitamins. ... show more

  • Good but pricey supplement for heart
I have been taking the fish oil and Coq10 from Costco for a while as recommended by my doctor for heart health. This one actually combines the two pills into one and I gave it a try. So far so good, as many supplements I don't see any immediate benefit yet, it takes some time. On the other hand I have not noticed any adversary side effects yet. The size is a little bit smaller than the Costco fish oil but a little bit bigger than the Coq10 pill. Since I just swallowed the whole pill, I cannot tell much difference. Price wise, it is much more expensive than the combination of both fish oil and Coq10 and with less pills. Hopefully the quality is better. ... show more

  • rTG Omega 3 = Re-esterified triglyceride
I had to search 'rTG' for ever to figure out what it was. Would have been nice if we were told what that was and why it matters. I have been taking fish oil for decades and never heard of this rTG. As the title states it's re-esterified triglycerides. And seeing now you know what it is,,,, the next part is,,,, what does that mean ? This is a process where the alcohol that was used in getting the fish oil is now removed and this makes it more natural, concentrated and more easily absorbed. It is identical to a natural triglyceride and supposedly better tolerated with fewer sides. And one aspect that has been noted is that it appears to help possibly with dry eye symptoms which would possibly indicate that it does have increased uptake. So all that to say very pure and very much used by the body. You will notice this brand is using the BASF companies brand of copyrighted PronovaPure fish oil. Within the Provona line I counted 9 different EPA and DHA combinations. So yes this BASF is one of, if not the biggest producers of fish oil. You can look the company up and they have video describing their processes with their plants in Norway and Scotland. I could not help but notice all the barrels of fish oil that seemed endless. So IMO we are definitely good with the fish oil in this brand. And this brand for whatever reason choose the 1000 mgs EPA/ 400 mgs DHA combination. My normal brand is 645 mgs EPA and 310 mgs DHA. So this brand is substantially more. Now I take fish oil for the possible cardiovascular benefits it may have. There are some studies that say it is helpful and some that state no benefit. From my personal experience I believe it is helpful even though it hasn't been proven conclusively ( arguable?). I also like the CoQ10 in this which is found naturally in cold water fatty fish, as I also think it (CoQ10) has cardiovascular benefits as well as helping with the energy making process in the mitochondria. The vitamin D in this is D3 the more bioavailable form which I also think has cardiovascular protection with its possible ability to mitigate arterial plaque build up. There is a wealth of information that can be found on these ingredients specifically with a simple google search showing what the studies are finding in relation to heart heath that I find very encouraging. Not conclusive but promising no doubt IMO. I am not real happy with the vitamin E in this as I like to take this fat soluble vitamin which can build up in the body , by itself. But like the coQ10, it is found naturally in cold water fatty fish and it too does help with energy in the Krebs cycle in the mitochondria as well as a scavenger for free radicals. The supplement facts states 'natural' to let you know this (vitamin E) came from the fish. So here is the deal on price. First I never give a supplement 5 stars unless its third party lab tested and tested in the US/UK or Canada. Or a country with regulated oversight with ingredient testing. We know the fish oil has been tested and tested again and probably perhaps again. So were good there. The Vitamin E and CoQ10 was part of the fish oil so its a given IMO as being as stated. To have in two soft gels the fish oil ( with very high amounts of EPA and DHA) and the vitamin D and E and the CoQ10 this IMO is a good price. My only question would be was the D3 third party lab tested ? If it was then this certainly makes this brand well worth it as its so many ingredients in one bottle ? So yes I really think this is a great product. I had no sides and these were easy to take. These did not have any fish taste to me . If you had any doubts how serious this brand takes their fish oil just look at how much effort they put in making a bottle that keeps it (the fish oil soft gels) fresh. This is Definitely top shelf IMO ! I honestly at the time of this review consider it the best (fish oil) I have personally ever seen. Good luck and hope this was helpful. ... show more

  • Good Omega-3 Supplement, Smaller Softgels Easier to Swallow
I'm a believer in taking Omega 3 daily, and I think the scientific community supports this. I couldn't find much on "CGMLabs" on the internet so I can't vouch on their reputation. The fish oil constituents are sourced from BASF Pharma and trademarked as "PronovaPure". BASF Pharma is a large, multi-national company and part of the larger BASF corporation, so I'm trusting that this is a quality organization providing a good product. This supplement contains 1000mg EPA and 400mg DHA fatty acids (2 softgels), which is a little higher than the supplement that I'm currently taking. The softgels are a little smaller (both shorter and thinner) than my current Omega-3 supplement, the color is darker too, perhaps these are more concentrated? The smaller softgel is easier to swallow, a benefit. Norwegian fish oil is high quality. The price is about 30% less than my current Omega-3 supplement (from NFH). This also is advertised as including CoQ10 at 7mg. I also take CoQ10 at 120mg per day, so the 7mg probably isn't too effective, definitely not enough to stop taking a separate CoQ10 supplement. The Vitamin-D3 (250% DV) and Vitamin E (133%) is in sufficient amounts to meet the daily value needed, but if you're taking a daily multi-vitamin these are probably being met already. But shouldn't hurt. Packaging is excellent, the labels are well done and clear. There's a date stamped on the label, which I'm assuming is a "good to" date (it doesn't specify) and is about 3 years after I received my supplement. Overall this appears to be a good product and it has my recommendation. ... show more
