  • Best weeder ever!
So easy to use and clears weeds so fast.

  • Comparison with other brands
I also have the Walensee Stand Up Weed Puller - I'll compare the two. There are lots of brands offering these two different styles (the fork and twist style vs. the step down style), so you can decide which style is better for you. The most important distinction - the Royalgarden leaves a huge divot, like 2x2. It pulls the weed easily, but also grabs the grass around the weed. I'm not sure there is any way around this. It leaves pretty big divots. So in my assessment, it's for larger weeds. The Walensee leaves almost no divot, it pulls up just the weed and no grass. However, it's for smaller weeds only. I think it's best for dandelions, things like that. If you try to do a larger weed, it will cut it in two. Even larger dandelions were a struggle for the Walensee, whereas the Royalgarden can pull up 3 foot weeds with no problem. The Royalgarden is a pretty heavy tool. It's built well and durable. But some people might find this too heavy to lift repeatedly. It's heavier than a shovel, and the weight is not evenly distributed. My wife says it wears out her arms. Also, what exacerbates the weight, the release lever is in the middle of the Royalgarden - so you either have to bend over to release, or lift the entire device each time to release. I like to use a tarp when I weed - just drop the weeds on the tarp, and when I'm done, shake the tarp into a lawn bag. That is much easier to do with the Walensee. Whereas with the Royalgarden, you have to lift it every time to release it (unless you don't mind all the bending over). The Royalgarden comes with two gardening bags - certainly a nice perk, but these bags aren't necessarily anything special. They are spacious bags, but not particularly heavy duty. The Royalgarden comes with no instructions at all. It's pretty intuitive, and it's fully preassembled, you probably don't need instructions. The only thing that might not be immediately obvious is the lock on the bottom, so you can fold it up for storage. The Royalgarden does not jam easily. Even in clay soil like mine, with its big spikes and its large ejection plate, it rarely jams. However, the Walensee does jam up quite a bit, you need to scrape off the dirt every 10th or 20th dandelion. One reviewer posted a video of him removing the weed - and whatever it is he thinks he's doing, he is not doing it right at all! It appears he thinks he needs to bend over and pull the release lever before pulling up the weed. That's not at all how it works - you simply jam it into the ground, and lean the device back, with leverage. The weed comes out on its own. The release lever is just to release the weed onto the ground, into your lawn bag, etc. He is making it 10x more difficult than it has to be. I'm 6 ft tall, and I wish both tools were a little taller (I wish just about everything were a little bit taller LOL). But if you do it right, you can operate both tools with minimal bending over. Overall, I love both tools, and since I don't have a problem with the weight, I'll probably grab the Royalgarden more often than the other tools. It will especially come in handy in places like along the creek, or at our lake property. But for a normal Saturday afternoon of pulling clover and dandelions in the back yard, I'm definitely using the smaller and lighter Walensee, because I don't want divots in my yard. Hope this helps! ... show more

  • Gets the job done and keeps your hands clean!
This is a super cool version of the original style weed puller. It is VERY study! Yet, not too heavy! The bright blue plastic seems like it will last for quite some time. Here are my two cents on this weed puller after using it in my front yard. 1. There is a learning curve to placing the tool into the ground to produce the best leverage for removal. 2. I wish the silver portion where you stomp on it was larger. 3. Sometimes the blue part where you push down to release your weeds, gets stuck. 4. I did notice that the "tine" part of the weed puller was getting dirt stuck in it. I have not gone after it with a brush or screwdriver yet. 5. I wish the handle was a bit longer, or even make a "big and tall" length one. I am the shortest person in the family coming in at 5'8". Everyone else is over 6 feet tall! Sometimes we find standard size items too short for us. There is a compromise when it comes to the soil you are working in: must be damp enough to break the surface and not too moist to get the dirt stuck in the tool. Overall, I would have to say YES! I would encourage my friends and family to give this a try. I think this is a great way to save your back, knees, and keep your hands clean. If my parents still had to do their own lawn, I would send this to them for sure! ... show more

  • Serious Tool!
This weed puller is one serious tool! There's not a weed clump that this can't handle. I've pulled dandelions, nettles, crabgrass, and even went after a patch of daylily "volunteers" that had mystically appeared in my perennial bed. This tool grabs the roots of the plant you're after and doesn't let go until you want it to. Excellent. I can't imagine getting all of the tenacious plants out of my lawn and garden without this tool. The two garden tool bags are just a nice extra. They stand on their own and are made of a nice, sturdy material that holds up to garden tools being tossed into them with no ripping or tearing. ... show more

  • Absolutely awesome!
No more dirty hands!! The weeds quiver in fear when they see me coming with the weed puller! Seriously, the weed puller is fabulous! There is a slight learning curve when it comes to placement and pulling the weeds out. Sometimes I find myself putting my toe under the lever since itโ€™s a bit easier. The moist dirt sticks to the little shovel part and the tongs to grip the weed, but a quick wipe off when done is all thatโ€™s needed. The two garden bags that come with it seem sturdy. Theyโ€™re made of canvas and the handles are reinforced with a little piece of plastic. The bags are roomy and come with a piece of plastic to make a stiff bottom. I definitely recommend! ... show more

  • This is beautiful.
A lot of rain has caused a lot of things to grow and bloom. Crazy weeds have grown in our front yard making it look a bit abandoned. This weed puller has made the job easier for me to pull weeds and then go back and collect them all. What would take an hour or two to do the whole front yard, is now a lot shorter and my back is thanking me. ... show more

  • Weed Puller
This weed pulling tool is very sturdy!! It was sooo easy to push in and pull out. I literally got every single weed out. Now this is just a small bag. I have a third of a mile of yard let to go but at least I was able to pull the ones from around my front porch and mailbox. Literal life saver from back bending work and I HIGHLY recommend!! ... show more

  • Solid, easy to use weed pile
This we puller seems like a nice solid tool. The materials are strong and put together well. It releases the weeds easily and is simply to clean. If well maintainedI can see this garden Weeder laying a long time. It really is not for tall people though. If the handle adjusted higher it would be perfect. ... show more
