It doesnt even stretch close to 8 feet in width. It is pretty close to the 50 ft length however. Very good quality, heavy duty and strong, well reinforced border. I do recommend that you purchase the heavier zip ties as the included ones are very small and, in my opinion, quite useless for a strong attachment. ... show more

We measured our area before purchasing these 8x50 cloths. We had a few feet on either side to stretch the material so it would be taunt based on the measurements provided. It took a few weeks to arrive and we had an event planned so we needed to install them as soon as they came. When we went to install them we realized that they were larger than we expected. We installed them anyway but they were not as taunt as we had hoped. Well, because they did not fit properly the wind had its way with them and they tore in less than a year. Now I'm shopping for something different. They provided great shade, and they looked very nice at first. But they unfortunately didn't last long and I won't be reordering. ... show more

Holds up to good winds we get in northern Nevada I have it around my hotbtub it holds up to high winds. And provides perfect privacy. Definitely would buy again. Sorry about blury picture but I was just in the hottib when I took this so camera fogged a bit on my phone.
