I bought this cereal bowl as an individual salad bowl to go with my Royal Doulton 1815 dishes. I had found several bowls like this in buttermilk (yellow) but had been unable to find the full eight I needed. Since the 1815 pattern is multi-colored, it made sense to select a few other colors to complement the yellow bowls as well as the colored plates. This has the same ridged design up the sides and a flat enough bottom to provide stability when forking salad. I picked this blue -- really more of a pale blue that the greenish look in the product photo -- and white. My only disappointment was the sticker on the side that listed these with a MSRP of $9.95 rather than the price I paid here. This Gordon Ramsay pattern is dishwasher- and microwave-safe. Nice to have a dinnerware set that offers individual pieces, such as this bowl, to add to the original serving for six. Other bowls and platters are available individually as well. I prefer the Maze Blue color but I believe this dinnerware set is also is available in a white.

We were needing some new bowls for pasta and ice cream and I found these searching on Amazon. I like that they aren't just plain white bowls, they have a little bit of design to them. They are a tiny bit small for pasta, but smaller portions aren't a bad thing. My husband loved them as a gift!

I like the bowl, but it is clearly not very strong. It was wrapped in bubble wrap but loose inside the amazon box. Needless to say it arrived broken.....I think. I dropped the box as I was walking into the house. I didn't hear anything break, but I can not be sure that I did not break it, so into the garbage it went. But the point is that it should not have broken. I have dropped my old bowls (also porcelain) on the same wood floor, but not protected, and yet they did not break. There is no way I am buying a set of this stuff if a bowl wrapped in a pile of bubble wrap will break! Seriously not kid friendly. ... show more

Love the style and color. Don't like that even though they are dish washer safe - I SHOULD be washing them by hand because they seem to get brittle in the dish washer. Over all - I would get them again.
