Description
The Danish King Christian IV loved Christmas and was known for its unforgettable festivities and elegant chalkboards at Christmas. In this tradition, the renowned Royal Copenhagen manufacturer developed a service for the Christmas season, which quickly became a classic of the house. The Star Fluted Christmas service was developed according to old templates from the 1895s. Traditional Christmas symbols snail around a green fir garland on the finest bone china. Angels, hearts and drums are tied together with a large ribbon of red satin ribbon. The decor was applied by hand and, because Christmas is always a bit elegant, a fine gold plating was applied.
