I’ve tried several different dog food brands, including more expensive and organic options, but I ended up coming back to Royal Canin. My dog can be a very picky eater, and with some of the other foods her appetite decreased significantly. With Royal Canin, she actually enjoys the flavor and eats well, which is the most important thing for me. I also notice a big difference in her stool. It stays firm and consistent, and in my experience the odor is much less noticeable compared with some of the other foods I’ve tried. She has eaten Royal Canin since she was a puppy. I even used the puppy formula as little rewards during training because she liked it so much. After experimenting with other brands and seeing her lose interest in her food, I decided to switch her back. I also think it’s a good value for the money. I’ve tried more expensive foods, but paying more didn’t help if my dog wouldn’t eat them. For me, a food she consistently enjoys and does well on is a much better value. As far as safety and consistency, I’ve fed her Royal Canin since she was a puppy and have personally had a good experience with it. The food has been consistent from bag to bag, and I feel comfortable continuing to feed it to her. The bag is strong and safety sealed. Ideas to feed you dog, I put warm water and soaked with for 1 minute or 2. She loves it! Easy to digest as well. For my picky dog, palatability, consistency, and how well she does on the food have made Royal Canin the better choice for us. I’m happy we switched back. ... show more

The size of the pieces is perfect for her small mouth, and I've noticed his coat looks shinier and her energy levels are great. My 8-year-old Coton had a hard time eating his previous food because the kibble pieces were a little too large for him. I switched to this Royal Canin Small Adult formula, and the smaller kibble size has made a big difference. He eats it much more comfortably now and seems to really enjoy it. Why is the kibbles so oily? My dog eats it but it feels oily to me. I like it for him because it’s not as hard as other kibble. Other brands are rock hard and these are like crunchy cookies, so I’ll keep buying it. But just want to know why it’s so oily.
