Royal Canin urinary is the only dry food my 18 yr old Persian eats. Having lost a cat to kidney failure I asked the vet what (if anything) I could do to prevent another cat dying from kidney failure. He said "most kidney failure is attributed to a diet of cheap food." He told me the Royal Canin urinary was an excellent quality dry food & it would at least give me a shot at keeping my new cat alive. I was so glad my old cat likes this. I have spent too much money trying to find food and supplements to support her liver and kidney condition that she will tolerate. I knocked a star off because I don't think non prescription catfoods should ever cost this much. Owning a pet and managing their aging bodies shouldn't only be for the rich.
