Why are Chihuahuas so picky? Lol. Mine will not eat any kibble at all except for this brand and honestly, she doesn’t eat it as her main food source I generally just keep a little dish of it out in case I come home from work really late and she gets hungry. Sometimes when she finishes her wet food, she must still feel hungry and actually will go and grab some of this as well. It makes me feel better to know that if I get held up, she has something there that she’s willing to eat. Royal Canin is a quality brand and recommended by my vet. I’m not sure if the breeds specific styles actually make a difference but what I do know is that picky Chihuahuas will eat them. I also buy the Chihuahua wet food which I give to her on occasion or when we’re traveling honestly it’s too expensive to give her for two meals a day and I do fresh pet, which she will also eat. But I order a bag of the kibble every few months and and 12 to 24 of the cans of wet every month I’m so happy that I found this brand because when I got her initially, it was just so frustrating trying to get her to eat ... show more

My chihuahua loves this food, he seems to be doing great with this no stomach problems his coat looks great and he is maintaining his weight. He gets a slightly rounded 1/8 th cup with tablespoon of Costco Kirkland pate dog food twice a day. As a new pet owner, I am always looking for the best food to keep my dog healthy and happy, and this product definitely delivers. One of the things that struck me about this dog food is the high-quality ingredients. The first ingredient listed is chicken, followed by pork by-products and pork liver. Our very picky rescue chihuahua really likes this food after rejecting all others. Im very surprised that it is so highly recommended by veterinarians because the very first ingredient is corn. Im not thrilled about that but since its pretty much all our little guy will eat, this is what he gets. I do try to supplement with other healthy wet foods to offset the high non-nutrative corn in the kibble. So much is touted in human nutrition that corn is empty calories and only good as ruffage and yet it figures so highly in our pets food. Dogs did not eat corn in the wild. Nor vegetables.
