I bought this portable washing machine because the complex I moved to costs $5 to wash & dry a load of clothes. That would be fine if I only did one load a week. Anyway, I got the 17lb tub and even though it's a little time consuming, I like it. I experimented with my first 3 loads to see what it was capable of. First, I washed 6 scrub tops and put them in to spin 3 at a time. I wrung them out so they weren't dripping. They came out pretty dry. I hung them up on the shower rod. Next load was 7 scrub tops, but this time I put them all in to spin at the same time, wringing them out so they weren't dripping. They came out pretty dry. About a week later I washed 7 pair of jeans in one load. For the spin cycle, I split them up, but put them in sopping wet. Guess what? They came out pretty dry! The wash tub holds a lot of water and I didn't even need to fill it all the way for the jeans load. The only negatives are that when I went to wrap the cord on it's holder, I noticed the panel that hides the motor wasn't seated right. I can stick my fingers in and touch the wires. It looks like it was just slapped on there. The other thing is the intake hose is not big enough to fit on the faucet in my sink so I have to hold it there when the spin cycle is going to pre-rinse after the wash. The drain hose could be longer as well. I don't have a drain in my bathroom floor so I have to drape the hose over the bathtub and even though it is a pump drain (not gravity) and gets most of the water out with no issue, when it gets down to the last of it, it struggles. I do plan to get extender hoses for draining and inlet. I would recommend buying this washer.

I had a different one that was a bit smaller than this one, but I love this one a little bit more. It’s quieter, it has a suction feature that sucks the water out of the wash tub when you drain it, it has different levels of spin to get your clothes dryer faster, It’s not only a space saver, it’s a money saver so you’re not going to the laundromat and wasting $10 per machine, it’s a detergent and softener saver as you don’t need to use too much because you’re doing smaller loads, it’s a time saver as you don’t need to load up your car or whatever and lug it all to the laundromat and it’s a water saver as it doesn’t require too much water like traditional washing machines. Great value and worth the price, it pays for itself!

The media could not be loaded. First of all the potential for a totally custom and deep clean for all of your clothes (obviously no blankets) is unlimited. I love my laundry to smell a bit like an aroma therapy session. This does that while pulling deep muck out of every load- as you can see I tried it on my dirty food service clothes and my kids clothes. Grey and brown water will shock you. First- it’s a repeated process. Wash with soap, spin dry, rinse with scents, softener ect and then another (or double) spin dry to finish- I bought a laundry drying rack. After a double spin dry the clothes meet that iffy “should I dry this last bit?” Level we’ve all experienced with full size dryers. Overnight on the laundry rack indoors with a fan finishes them just fine but 3 hours in the sun is a game changer. You’ll love it. So you’ve got the learning curve down- this thing silently overheats and you’ll think your knobs are broken. Just unplug it and wait 5 min. Sometimes the knobs get off track and down work- just let them run a short one minute cycle and they will synchronize back up. It does come with a handy trouble shoot book. Yes you manually switch the loads instead of a cycled set of wash, spin and rinse. Yes it acts wonky. It’s so worth it though! Only loosing one star because I wish I could run it for longer and I’ve had to read the trouble shooting guide 3x in a week.

Had one of these back in the 50's for baby clothes but you had to wring out the closes, empty out water by hand and rinse. Those had no spin cycle. Decided to check the newer ones out and found this one. It holds more clothes than I thought it would, was quiet and the spin cycle worked well. I live alone and have a few really small load of things like "black" clothes, too few to put in my big super washing machine. I set it up in the bathtub in a bath room that the tub is never used Excuse the appearance of the old tub but original bath was built in 1951. Over the years, I have only used this old cast iron tub for bathing my large hairy dog, thus tub is stained. This tub already had a hose attached to facet and perfect for filling up this washer. Placed washer on two 2 x 4 blocks of wood so that it is elevated off tub floor to prevent water when washer is draining from getting into bottom of tub. Placed a screen in drain to catch lint. Have a GFI outlet in this bathroom and cord was long enough to reach. I am amazed at how many items I can get into washer and it agitates clothes well. It does sometimes tangle clothes but I just stop washer and straighten them out. I sometimes reset washer timer to go another 15 min wash. The spin cycle is great but have to spin in two groups of washed clothes as the spin basket only holds one half of washed clothes. Viverates a little when spin cycle starts so I just hold machine to keep it from moving off the wood 2x4's. It levels out in about 60 seconds and does spin water out until clothes are damp dry. Item did not say the spin would stop when you opened the lid during spin but this one does, re-starts when lid is closed again. I really like this little washer, I could see where it would be great for campers and small apartment with no washer available or if you had to go into a basement washroom. I can no longer climb the steps. Also if my regular washer gives out. It would give me time to shop around.
