When I bought the rove dash cam, I cheaped out and bought a 50 dollar samsung card instead of the 70 dollar rove card. Big mistake!, after a few weeks with the samsung card, I started getting error messages saying the card is too slow and the camera wasn't recoing the video. The only way to fix this was to format the card and start over. After multiple instances of this, I decided to purchase this one and gamble with the more expensive one. After reviewing my first recordings made with this camera, I'm very impressed with the video quality. I haven't used it at night yet, but that's yet to come. The feel of the buttons/controls is first rate. It took me some time to read the owner's manual because of all the features this little camera has. One thing I would recommend is removal of the mounting bracket detents when adjusting it for up/down. The optimal position for my vehicle is between two detents where one is too high and the other is too low. I don't see why it needs to have these detents. I’m torn. It’s a memory card and it does what it’s supposed to so I’ll give it 4 stars but this is where I’m a bit upset. This is my third memory card for the unit and I read and followed the original requirements and purchased the CORRECT card. Nothing but problems. Called support, while they were very helpful I went round and round with them about the card, long story short, they sent me a Samsung card. This card worked great for months, then all of a sudden one day it decided it didn’t and through up the infamous “your card isn’t blah blah” and would no longer record. So here I am once again looking for a simple memory card to just work. It really shouldn’t be this hard. Buy the correct read/write card for the job and brand shouldn’t matter. Not the end of the world but with the availability of all the cards nowadays this is silly. If I could I would rate it one star but the card does what it’s supposed to. ... show more
