I've had this Go Pro Hero 10 for over 1 1/2 months now and have taken it on 4 major trips where I've used it all day. I've purchased several video cameras within the past 6 months and returned all of them because of either not good quality, too hard to learn or simply not satisfied with them. This one I'm fully happy and satisfied. Once I was able to learn what all the settings were and what accessories I needed I can't see me using another action camera. Youtube became my best friend when learning all I can learn about this camera. There is a learning curve if you want to get the best quality video you can get out of this camera. Yes you can take it out of the box and start using it and get decent videos but you definitely have to tweak the video settings if you want to get the best video you can get. As far as accessories go you must get extra batteries, a good quality tripod, screen protector and a case for the Go Pro itself. The battery time is definitely one of the downsides that's why you must get extra. As far a getting too hot, I have not experienced this issue at all. This is one of the negatives I kept on reading about but I decided to still give it a try and I'm glad I did. I think they fixed that issue in a recent firmware update because my Go Pro has not over heated one time. If you're looking for a great action camera that's water proof this is one camera you should at least give a try. ... show more

The 10Black was mostly the camera I was looking for, though a couple minor complaints have me giving it a less than perfect score. 1/ Confusing product IDs. Did you know a 10Black, 10Silver, and 10White all have different capabilities? Can you guess which is best? I can't. 2/ Can't really run it at 4K for very long. Not because of storage requirements, but because it will overheat. That's okay, 1080 is enough for my needs, but feels bait and switchy to have a "enter meltdown" setting labelled as "4K Ultra HD" ... show more

I use this camera underwater when I scuba dive. The pictures really are much better than the 9. My night dive pictures really did turn out great. This camera makes me want to shoot more photos than video these days because of the color and crispness I’m getting. I had no problem with the battery life as others had reported. One battery lasts two dives, basically all morning. I change batteries at lunch. I can dive all day on two batteries. I would recommend the 10. ... show more

I am close to returning this because it cannot connect to a mac vis usb. The engineers who designed this took away the option to toggle out of MTP mode (instead claiming that it switches to MTP automatically). I've searched GoPro, Google, Reddit and Youtube - no effective solutions anywhere offered even by the GoPro staff!! Now I have to fight to get this super tight side door open and take out the micro sd and use the adapter to plug into my computer every time when I shouldn't have to! Too many steps for the amount of money I paid. It is sold with the "ability to usb connect", but this is a lie. GoPro, you released your 10th and latest model with this malfunction knowingly... I have no idea how I went so many years without one of these. I thought I'd be perfectly happy just using my phone all these years and continuing on doing so. I took the plunge bought this GoPro. This is my first action camera. It's quite simple to use for recording and photos. The video and photos are phenomenal quality, impressively good stabilization and the horizon lock is phenomenal. I brought this cam to the Caribbean, used it underwater in the Bahamas and carried it everywhere without any issues at all. The GoPro quick app that I used to pull images from videos. I bought the camera for my dad in father's day. He is an active cyclist. Everything in this camera is great - image quality, size, focal distance, frame rate and stabilization. However, the battery doesn't last too long, especially if you are recording in 4K and 5,2K. The camera also tends to warm if you work with this resolutions helping the battery die sooner - around 1h of autonomy. I recommend you to buy some extra batteries if you want to record for long periods of time. ... show more
