Works well and came with all tools necessary for assembly and even included a drill bit to modify the mounting plate to match your router. The only reason I marked it down was that it could be easier to remove and add the spacer blocks to adjust the height if the supports were threaded and the bolts were knobs. Minor issue.

I haven't officially used it but as I'm putting together it's very high quality materials which is why I justified the price wanted something that would last long there was one part that just holds the wood in place to the plate that was partially broken it does still work and it's more than likely broke during shipping box was super heavy but besides that very satisfied

TOTAL assembly required but the machining is accurate and design is good. I approve of self assembly to insure both my understanding of the tool as well as more careful alignment of parts than can be expected from “line” assembly. Instructions are reasonably clear and in good sequence. The solid round bars provide weight for stability and dependable lack of flexion. The whole unit should serve well. I mounted an old Hitachi 12 amp, 1/2” collet router with a 7” diameter baseplate which just fits the plexi base plate supplied. Any normal router should fit with ease. I have not put it to work yet because I have not settled the side tracking rails to insure smooth operation on that access but I am confident that this unit will provide the close tolerance we are looking for, along with smooth operation. Its design eliminates the sloppiness of setup and unreliable axies implied in other solutions I have looked at.

I’m mixed on this product. This is essentially a DIY slab flattening kit with all the parts, compatibility, and instructions worked out for you. Putting it together was time consuming but not confusing and it came with most of the tools needed to assemble. However, I had the following issues: 1. The pre drilled acrylic plates are for a mounting system I’ve never seen. My Bosch 1617 didn’t fit, nor did a DeWalt. They included a drill bit, which is nice, and an undrilled blank piece of acrylic, so not a major issue. 2. This is more of an issue with the acrylic plate installation method for slab flatteners: the screws do not stay in the acrylic; hey unseat themselves when the router is going. Over tightening them just causes them to compress the acrylic, leading to a non-level mount, and using more permanent solutions means your router base is permanently attached to the sled. 3. The price is not justified for me. This kit is the same stuff you’d end up buying if you followed a DIY guide, but marked up. The plus side is that I reused the bars and bearings from this kit to build a better sled, so it wasn’t a total waste. Had I just bought the parts for this better sled directly, however, I would have spent less money overall.
