Bought this on an impulse in order to satisfy a small table need. As someone who teaches and makes furniture for a living, I usually would not go anywhere near amazon.com if I wanted something made of real wood at an affordable price. However, I find myself pleasantly surprised by this piece! For any other skeptics out there, I can confirm that this is made of solid oak (stained a dark walnut color) through and through, with sturdy/easy hardware for assembly. This little table is so well built with solid wood on legs and top. The screws were already prepped with blue tape for easy installation. Table balance is spot on. Quality much better than most other tables at this price range.
