Description

With 300 Horses under the hood ready to buck, the Titan is worthy of its powerful name. Once combined with a lift kit and larger tires, that power needs to be properly regulated to eliminate axle wrap. In model Titans, axle wrap can force the drive shaft upwards and actually make contact with the body of the truck. Thanks to Rough Country's new Titan Traction Bar Kit, you can prevent the axle from twisting backwards, eliminating leaf spring windup and keeping the rear drive wheels forced down to the pavement for superior traction. With this much power, you need a traction bar kit that can take what you dish out. Built out of Heavy Duty 1.25" DOM Tubing and attached with 1/4" plate steel brackets, this traction bar kit is ready to handle all the torque you can muster. Adjustable Heim joints allow a precise fit for stock height up to 8" of lift. Furthermore Heim Joints can hold up to more force than materials used in other traction bars, and give immediate traction results since they do not bend or flex like Polyurethane.

  • Check for damage
They work I will give then that. However the people who package rough country's products should be fired. Worst packaging ever, powder coat was chipped and scuffed, I would have returned them if I wasnt powdercoating them white anyways. The heinous joints arent all they could be for a $260 set of basic steel trac bars. I would highly recommend the upgraded prg heims. ... show more

  • Bad heim joints, good price, use a 1/2" bit not a 17/32"
Heim joints are garbage. They went out in 2 months. Super squeeky now. Instructions say to drill 17/32" holes, do not do this just use a 1/2" bit. I made the mistake of wasting time and money to find a 17/32" bit. They do not have those at homedepot, ace hardware, harbor freight, etc. What a waist of time. Ended up just using a 1/2" bit and it worked fine. ... show more

  • Expect the joints to fail.
Decent kit, but the joints fail shortly after installing. Apparently this is very common, after reading other reviews.

  • Easy to install. Looks great.
Ordered this system because of the posts and other material I read about axle wrap on 2011 Titans after a 6" lift. It looks good and is easy to install. Well made for a good price. I owned a 2006 lifted Titan and could have used them. I recommend them for 6" and higher lifts.

  • Poor quality control
The axle bracket holes were off center and would not slip on U bolts with me using double carbide bits to egg out the holes and repainting. On top of that, what engineer at RC designs an 1/2in ID sleeve to slip in an 1/2 hole? The OD of the sleeve needs to be 1/2. How am I supposed to fit a 5/8 sleeve in a 1/2 hole without drilling these holes out? Not to mention the weld splatters left behind and welds themselves that didn’t penetrate properly. The materials are soiled but someone is slacking on quality control. ... show more

  • Very inpressed.
Very easy to install, preformed as advertised. Prevents driveshaft from rubbing the floor on hard take offs, really increased traction from a dead stop.

  • Missing bolts. Check to make sure they are all there before starting.
I usually don’t write negative reviews but this needs to be addressed. I only give it two stars because it was missing one of the bolts. It may sound a little harsh but finding out you are missing parts once the truck is apart sucks. Also finding a metric grade 8 bolt at a hardware store seems somewhat a challenge. Installation was straight forward and seems like a quality product. ... show more

  • awesome mod
I have 05 titan with programmer, tru trac differential, and shift kit. Drive line seemed to have minor play under hard acceleration. Not anymore. These bars did the trick, everythimg seems tight. I would recommend them to anyone.
