  • Very Good Shocks!! Don't Understand the Hate from some!!
Install was easy. Been driving on them for about two weeks. My OEM shocks had about 225,000 miles on them and I can't believe they were still riding so well. However, the difference with the RC Shocks on is night and day. The rear of my truck handles a lot better, I don't feel any unnecessary stiffness, and the quality of the shock is very nice. I don't do any off roading at all and spend majority of my time on highways, and the ride is much smoother. I'm assuming that those complaining about the bouncing actually installed the shocks upside down. They need to check to make sure they are on correct. I have actually seen several times where this is the case. ... show more

  • Great for F150
Very easy install, well made and at a fair price. I bought them for my 2018 Ford F150 and they fit as expected. I have only put 250 miles on them, so I can't speak to the durability, but I would imagine they are comparable to OEM shocks. The ride is a little stiffer, but I don’t mind that. If you are wanting a car like ride, you probably should look elsewhere. If you don't mind you truck riding like a truck, these are just fine. ... show more

  • Can’t beat them
Can you get better? Yes I think you can, fit three times the price. These ride great, but perfect, look good, and do it affordably. Rough country for the win.

  • Truck feels SOO much better
My shocks were toast. It was getting ridiculous. Have a 2018 F-150 with stock shocks. The camper was just feeling worse and worse. We have been debating getting a 250 or 350 so we didn't want to spend anymore and get nicer shocks so we got these cheapys incase we trade in. But these cheapy shocks impressed me. No problems getting them installed and immediately I got the ride quality of the truck back. The moment I literally pulled out of my driveway I noticed the truck didn't roll as much. Week later we took the camper out and it felt better than ever (only got camper 1 year ago so shocks were already crap). I'm super happy. These might not last as long as other more expensive shocks but for our use-case and indecisiveness on whether to trade this truck in or not, these were the right shocks to get and didn't disappoint. ... show more

  • Good OEM alternative
Smooth ride and good lift. The install can be challenging since the bushing is about 1/4 inch wider than the OEM on my 2019 Ford F-150. I had to spread the mounts slightly and grin the bushing down a little and then use a mallet to get it in place. Note that the shock mounts opposite of what you would think. The small end goes up, unlike OEM shocks. May not be a bad idea to buy boots for the top if you are going to be in dirt or dust environments. Make sure to read the label on the shock that shows the up arrow for correct mounting. ... show more

  • 2016 Ford F150 XLT 2.7
Installed these on my truck and they fit perfectly and give the truck nice stability for the back of the truck. Love the upgrade!

  • Despite the hate
I installed these about 3-4 months ago and wanted to give them some time to give an honest review. Decided to give these a shot despite all of the mixed feelings toward rough country products, and im glad i did! They fit perfectly into place and so far seem very durable. In the time they have been on I have loaded multiple cubic yards of sand and fill dirt, as well as 800 pavers into my bed and these handled it all with no issue, and no leaking. They are on the stiffer side, so if you’re looking for a very smooth shock I would say shop around. For a solid replacement to your worn out stock or aftermarket shocks I would say give these a shot! Pair these with the boots that rough country also has for these shocks and you’ll have a very solid setup for the price. ... show more
