    • Worthy of purchase.

Fits the whole shabang. Really large, tough, durable and the zippers are heavy duty. Was able to pack an entire 3x3x7 tent setup complete with ALL the electronic, ventilation and support gear. ALL of it in ONE bag...with room to spare. Handles 100 pounds well. Very happy.

    • Fits journalists up to 5'2"
Color: Navy Blue Size: 30" x 50"
A really fantastic utilitarian duffel bag large enough to fit someone up to about 5'2". Keep in mind that while the stitching is of good quality, the handles may fail if the bag is loaded beyond about 120 pounds. Otherwise, the bag rolls into a compact package and is great to have on hand if a shopping run ends with a little more than you had planned to carry. Keep in mind this bag does not come with any kind of shoulder strap, so be sure to purchase one if you plan to use it over long distances. ... show more

    • Surprisingly sturdy.
Color: Black Size: 21" x 36"
I purchased this duffle as extra baggage (too much shopping) because it met regulation size and when full of clothing was not overweight. It traveled well and has well stitched seams. The canvas is heavy duty. It's a duffle so not easy to carry but it has a great heavy zipper and two handles for lifting. I would recommend this to anyone needing an extra bag at a low price that you can use over and over again. ... show more

    • Perfect size for my 8 person Coleman tent
Color: Olive Drab Size: 30" x 50"
Perfect size for my 8 person Coleman tent. Tough fabric - no cheap poly bag here. Decent zippers look like they will hold up as long as the bag's not overstuffed.

    • Damaged but repairable.
Color: Olive Drab Size: 21" x 36"
The Rothco duffel bag 21''x 36'' is well made, stitching is solid, the zipper closure isn't YKK but it's sturdy enough for my needs. My only complaint...the bag arrived damaged. It arrived in a plastic package and upon picking it up off my porch I immediately noticed a clean slice through the package. I knew it was the result of an over zealous worker at the delivery location or by the carrier (Amazon). I opened the package and my suspicion was confirmed. Near the zipper closure was a clean 3'' slice lengthwise. I turned over the bag and found another on the opposite side approx. 3'' in length. Disappointing? Yes, but I knew I could repair it. I stitched two patches using 800 denier material and it's good as new. Should this deter you from purchasing this duffel bag? No, it was an accident. The bag is well worth the price. I didn't feel the need to return it considering I could repair it, and the bag would be used for camping. The patches actually give the bag character. ... show more

    • Sturdy, handy, and good value
Color: Olive Drab Size: 30" x 50"
I purchased these to help with storing an artificial Christmas tree in an attic. The tree comes in three parts and the original bag we had for it put all 3 in one bag which made it incredibly bulky and a little bit unwieldy to wrestle into the attic. These bags worked great for separating the two smaller sections into their own bag. Unfortunately the company doesn't make a bag that's long enough to store the third piece so I'm still stuck with the original oversized bag but at least it's not so difficult to maneuver now. I'm so happy with these bags that my only downside is that they don't make a larger/longer size because I would have purchased it in an instant if they did. The two carry handles, one on the top of the bag and one along the side, make it very convenient for getting the bags into and out of the attic. The material is very durable and has held up well so far. ... show more

    • Good but has no sling and zipper dangling think are flimzy
Color: Olive Drab Size: 21" x 36"
I think it is holding up very good, it is strong and I filled it pretty tight with items and it held up well. I will keep using it but as a side note, this does not come with a strap and the person getting this will have to get one. I think this was a good one also put some rope around the zipper part because the zipper dangling thing is pretty flimzy and will bend easily. That is my only down side but other then that it is good! ... show more

    • People actually carry these things?
Don't get me wrong, I love them, but I couldn't imagine lugging around one of these giant bags for very long. I'm over 6 feet tall and it's still hard to keep it off the ground when I sling it over my back. I originally purchased one of the top-loading 30 x 50 bags to store my large telescope when I travel. I liked it so much, I purchased another for my inflatable boat. This time I bought a side-loading bag and I couldn't be happier. I actually ended up using the top-load bag for my boat and lined the side-zipper one with foam to use with my telescope. These things are made of thick canvas that's made to last. The zipper is heavy duty and extends virtually the entire length of the bag, making it fairly easy to load and unload. If you're looking for a big, tough bag and you're not trying to make a fashion statement, get one of these. ... show more
