Update: The customer service is excellent! I received the screws about two weeks after contacting the company directly via a chat. The rep did not give me a hard time, and I was given two options: purchase the screws on my own and receive a refund for them (I was sent the type of screws needed), or they could ship it to me. I chose to have it shipped. They sent it right away and gave me the FedEx shipping information to keep track of it. This is our second time purchasing this book shelf, and it is wonderful. Unfortunately, the second time around, it is missing all the screws/building materials. I’ll update after the seller gets back to me, but as far as the quality of the book shelf, it is very good and does fit a lot of books (hence why I ordered it again). The media could not be loaded. There are some gap btw the parts and dent on the base piece. Otherwise, it is perfect for my kid’s bedroom. The shelf can hold a lot of books and her toys.

Usually I wait a few months to write a review but I was so impressed with the ease of assembly, I decided to write this a day after receiving it. There isn't much to the instructions because there isn't much needed - assembly is simple - all pieces fit together like a puzzle and are secured with screws. I have flexibility and back issues and was able to put this together single-handedly. It's adorable, sturdy, and very functional. If I run into problems down the road, I'll see if I can update this review but the wood and workmanship quality and the secured assembly leave me doubtful there will be many issues. ... show more

Real wood my husband was impressed 👍. Well made and very easy to put together. Just like a puzzle. Comes with everything you'll need. Including tools, sandpaper just in case you need to rub down a corner or two for better fit. Even comes with cloth gloves which we did not need but nice thought. We wanted to love this so bad but it is poorly designed and cut out. The screws are too large, we ended up buying smaller ones after we ordered a replacement for the first one. It looks like a monkey cut the pieces out as seen in my pictures. The roof is not attached to the body in any manner. It what universe did the person designing this think it would be safe for CHILDREN to play with? The description states it is sanded and ready to paint or leave as is. Got this for my almost 6yo daughter, she was super excited to get it. I had to go down to the post office in my town because they wouldn’t deliver it to my house. When I got it the box was open and had a big dent in the side. Everything inside was ok so I continued to put it together. It came with everything, but the directions were horrible. Luckily it’s easy to put together, the screws were very poor quality none were straight. When I started to put it together it was basically a guessing game but fairly simple. I had to leave all the screws loose and work my way up the whole thing until it was all together then go back over all the screws and tighten them all down. When I went to tighten it down some of the wood split and cracked before the screws were even tight. Once I got to the top of it to do the roof the little triangle that holds the two sloped roof parts together broke. It doesn’t even show that in the directions or in the pictures. I’ll probably drill my own holes in the top and put some screws in to help hold it a little better. I ended up working my way around to the side put that all together with no problems. Once I got done and tightened it all down and looked at it I wasn’t very happy with the fitment. It has a lot of gaps between the boards that are screwed together even though they are as tight as I dare go because I don’t want to split anymore of the wood. All in all it’s a cool little shelf for my daughter, the idea is cool and it looks neat. It didn’t take to long to put together even though the directions are very poor. I just hope it doesn’t fall apart on her… time will tell! ... show more
