It's 14k gold so this definitely shows on the color and shine. The chain is thin but textured so it doesn't feel flimsy or too delicate for every day wear. It looks beautiful. The 16in chain length is perfect and it looks stunning. The necklace box....what to say here...it's worth diamond packaging. It's little bigger than needed for this necklace but absolutely ok for a gift presentation. It looks expensive and something to keep for a long time. I am so incredibly disappointed about this necklace. I was really looking forward to it, but it is not as pictured. I bought the 16” length. The gold is nice and seems like it is good quality but the knot itself is all wrong. It is set with the chain positioned THROUGH the knot so that it sits on its side on my neck. You can’t change the position or pull it back through because the rings are soldered in place. I wanted it to work so badly that this is actually the second one I bought. I sent the first one back believing that it was a dud/lemon. But this one came with the same issues. When I contacted the seller, they were very sorry but said that the only option was to go through Amazon’s return process and buy a replacement. I did that and still have not gotten a refund for the first one (which in fairness was only a week ago). Such a mess! This one is going back as well. ... show more

This is a gift to myself, its delicate and sparkly. That being said, I would be very careful with it, it seems fragile. I am a small boned woman and got the 16 inch size so its up near my collarbone, its not irritating to skin, so can be worn on bare skin. I think its quite lovely and might buy another to gift with. I am glad the knot can move up and down on the chain. I think if you have big hands or are rough on jewelry, this might not be the one to choose.
