Can't give a full review. The one I received has a FIRMWARE PROBLEM, it kept giving SYSTEM FAILURE CODE Fc 200 on startup. I returned it for a refund after ROLAND couldn't give me a fix. They could only suggest places to seek repair! The seller accepted a refund on return with no problem.

I don't think this is the most realistic-sounding piano, but at the $1000 price point it ticks a lot of boxes: - Full 88-key with solid action - Deep sounds menu and nice display - Easy app integration things like Skoove - Built-in record/playback - A couple of mod wheels thrown in I'm not saying it is GREAT at any of these things, but it is GOOD at all of them, and for someone like me who wants to start learning and still get several years out of this without outgrowing it, it is just fine. My one complaint is that some options don't save at power-off such as the "input volume" settings. So I have to set them every time. ... show more

The Roland name and the features impress. The delivery time and packing both superb. The included manual and foot pedal leave a lot to be desired. You must scroll through menus to see the tones, accompaniment etc. ; you wont find them listed in the 4 pg. guide though they are on the website. It certainly feels quite natural and responsive after a few sessions. I’m pleased with it but not overly so yet. ... show more

    • Great - if you have short legs

This piano is really chunky. 6” from underneath to the top of the keys. That’s 30% more than my actual Yamaha upright piano or a Roland FP-10. What that translates to is not much clearance for your legs. I have the Roland stand and I have to put it on blocks *and* turn my pedal sideways to use this thing. Terrible ergonomics. If you don’t need the fancy features, get an FP-10; same keybed, nicer looking, and a better fit if you’re on the taller side. I sold my FP-10 to get this and boy do I have regrets. I don't think the extra features are worth the lost clearance given all the contortions I now have to go through to play. For reference, it has 23" of clearance. Grand pianos are notorious for low clearance but always always have at least 24". ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Been jamming on this for a few days now. Love the action, feels like a grand, and has great spring for fast passages. Flexible piano sound, EQ is in the settings. 1000 sounds but you can add more. Plays with better connectivity with my DAW. Mod wheel, pitch bend is rare for such a great piano based instrument. My husband is in a band, he had another Roland it weight 80lbs. So he research and found this model. It weight 35 lbs and alot more background sounds and it's differently a upgrade. Amazingly beautiful music, it a very clear sound different worth very penny
