I will have to say that isn’t a sweatshirt. I am not sure why it is called that in the title and description. I ordered this shirt thinking it was a fleece sweatshirt with a warm underside as sweatshirts usually have. It is a heavy shirt. There were six different colors to choose from at the time I ordered. I chose the Taro Purple. They also had Coffee, Grey Blue, Caramel, Apricot and Black. 99% of my closet is black so I tried to pick a different color since this shirt came in nice colors. I am happy with the color but still feel I should have chosen black. The texture of the fabric is ribbed. Says Rayon but feels polyester. The fabric is stiffer than if it were a comfy fleece sweatshirt. I ordered two sizes larger than my normal size XXL/2X so it would be big and oversized. Its feel like a 3X not a 4X I am just glad it is larger than my actual size. Be sure to take your measurements so you order the fit you are looking for. There is a heavy gold zipper on both sides at your waist. You must wear an undershirt under this or the zippers are very cold against your skin. I machine-washed mine on cold and then hung it inside-out to dry. I chose not to machine dry it due to the zippers. I don’t know if the gold on the hardware is painted on and I didn’t want the zippers to clink against the dryer. My shirt came out of the washer in the exact same condition as it went into the washer. Leaving 5 out of 5 stars. It could be that some people call this a sweatshirt? Sweatshirts are usually fleece lined comfy, cozy shirts. In that case – I cannot find anything wrong with it and it isn’t deserving of lowering down to 4 stars. I tried to come up with "something" in order to mention the pros and cons, but I could not find any cons. If something changes I will come back and edit my review. When I saw the product photos of this top I thought it was going to be cute and comfy, with a softly textured fabric. The fabric is nothing like I pictured. It is a ribbed polyester material. The coffee color is slightly different than the photo, still brown but leaning toward caramel. As far as construction goes, it is fabricated well with even stitches and straight seams. The ribbing is decent, zippers are functional. The style is as pictured and it fits me about the same as the model. It isn't the most comfortable top though, because of the feel of the fabric. I would not call it a sweatshirt, because even though it is that style, the fabric is not at all what you think of when you think of sweatshirt. Picture a tech fabric that doesn't breathe and isn't brushed for softness on the inside.

I recently ordered the 5X coffee sweatshirt for personal wear. I typically wear a 5 or 6x in tops when ordering from Amazon. I am also 5ft 8in. I knew immediately after opening it up that it wasn't going to fit in the spots that mattered. This was confirmed when I put my right arm in first. My shoulder is 21in and this was tight. The shirt gets taunt when I move my arms around. The shirt is also short. It came to my upper hip with my arms down. When I move them around, it rides up tremendously. The bottom is also tight with the zippers closed. Unzipping them didn't help much. The material is standard. The thickness isn't thin but not real thick either. I was disappointed with this.

I am not sure I would call this a sweatshirt simply because it is not fluffy like one. It is thicker than a regular long sleeve shirt though. The material is softer than it looks but not ultrasoft as it is textured. I got an XL to be extra big to wear over leggings and this is perfect. The zipper at the bottom sides adds a touch of extra to go with the texture adding to an otherwise basic simple top.

This is definitely not what I thought it was going to be from seeing the pictures. This is far more textured than it appears. It's unbelievably uncomfortable. I can't even bring myself to put it on all the way because I just can't handle it. It's rough. It looks and feels more like corduroy in a lot of ways (though not stiff like coruroy). I'm sad because the color is cute and I really had high hopes of having a not-so-boring sweatshirt. But it's not a sweatshirt at all. There's no amount of softness to it at all.

This top is okay. I don't really like that it is ribbed because the ribbing is horizontal which looks kind of off. The descriptions promises it's stretchy. It is not stretchy. Yes it's knit but there is very little stretch to it at all. I was expecting it to be larger and roomier since it states it's oversized. It's not at all. It fits just fine and is true to size but that's all. It's not oversized at all. The reason I gave it 4 instead of 3 stars is because I really do like the two zippers at the bottom of both sides. That's a really cute and interesting detail which I appreciate.
