  • Great strainer, spot welds dont look sturdy
Style: Conical Size: 7.1" Wire Handle
I use this for straining apple cider prior to bottling. My apple cider is unfiltered & unpasteurized and sold at a roadside apple stand in the fall. Perfect size holes, doesn't filter the cider but removes any large size apple pieces My concern is the spot welds holding the handle and brace on, don't look very substantial. Trying to be gentle with it so I don't break a weld, other than that it's perfect for me ... show more

  • Very Fine
Style: Fine Mesh Size: 3.2" Round Handle
Product is well made and seems as though it would last a lifetime. The mesh is very fine. I don't recommend for straining lemon juice but it's great for making loose leaf tea.

  • Feels Solid and Works Great But Concerned About Welded Part
Style: Coarse Mesh Size: 7.9" Round Handle
I've been waiting for the smaller coarse mesh to be back in stock, but finally bought this size. It's a nice strainer, and the stainless steel looks great and feels solid. 3 things to consider : 1. It is welded at crucial pressure points; with my old strainer (not welded), I would tap it on my hand to shake excess water out after use, but this may not be a good idea here if concerned about the welding coming loose at some point in the future. I let it air dry. 2. Hand washing mesh can be a challenge and I don't put it in the dishwasher each time due to space. 3. It's nice but I wouldn't pay full price, mainly due to being constructed with welded parts. I waited until it went on sale, so I guess I could rationalize getting it re-welded if it ever becomes necessary (but who does that?). ... show more

This is a strong solid strainer, not a $store throwaway. Buy once cry once.

  • The 5.5 inch Conical Strainer you did’t know you needed. Get it!
Style: Conical Size: 5.5" Wire Handle
This is for the 5.5 inch (small) conical strainer. It is exorbitantly expensive for an everyday item in the kitchen. It is the strainer you didn’t know you needed. Here’s why: (1). Perfect size for everyday use in the kitchen. (2). Strains quickly (perforation pattern) and neatly (conical shape) with a small footprint. (3). Easy to clean. (Actually, this should be the #1 reason…but it is a strainer, and it has to work b4 considering convenience of cleaning.) I own both the 5.5 inch and the 7.1 inch conical strainers. Love both, but use the 5.5 inch almost every day for meal prep. At first glance, you might think that because it is a solid-walled strainer with perforations, that it would be slower to drain than an airy mesh-type strainer. Not so. It is amazingly fast and efficient. I believe it is because of the perforation pattern, and the very highly polished smooth surface of the inside and outside. Both seem to minimize friction, and allow efficient draining. Which brings me to the next point: conical shape. It is neat. Liquid drains neatly to a narrow stream, thanks to the conical shape. No more drippy mess dotting the path from strainer to cooking pan or salad bowl. You will need a deep bowl or measuring cup to rest the strainer. What I use now is a Pyrex 2-cup tall measuring cup…it’s not perfect, but gets the job done for now, until I find the perfect draining container (will post update when I find it). The catching container does have to have a high aspect ratio, and if there is any one caveat about this shape strainer, it is this. It is why I use the 5.5 inch conical strainer far more than the 7.1 inch conical strainer. It is easy to clean. Because of the highly polished smooth finish inside/outside, it is very easy to clean. If I have time to rinse immediately after use, no scrubbing. If I don’t, it is easy to scrub with warm soapy water and a silicone brush. Even stuck bits and/or starchy stuff clean off with little effort. This material and its processing to a highly polished smooth surface is a dream for ease of clean up. No more stuck-to-tiny-mesh-squares mess that usually needs long soaking to get clean, esp for foods that leave a thick starchy residue. If there is any singular reason to buy this conical strainer, it is ease of clean-up. Once you use this conical strainer, you won’t go back to the mesh-style strainers. But, it absolutely must have the highly polished smooth surface finishing, inside/outside, and the perforation pattern of this Rosle. My only wish is that it would not cost so much ($ 34.00 when I purchased in 2021…likely due to tariffs on metals, charged to countries outside of US, which is passed onto US consumers…yes, US consumers pay the price of political tariffs, unfortunately.) If the price point were a little less, while keeping the quality high, I think more people would take the plunge and try this great product. I highly recommend the 5.5 inch conical strainer by Rosle. ... show more

  • Good quality but overpriced
Style: Fine Mesh Size: 3.2" Wire Handle
I got the fine mesh tea strainer, and the quality is good, but it's overpriced. I'm afraid that if I say anything else positive, that Rosle will just increase the price.

  • High quality strainer
Style: Coarse Mesh Size: 7.9" Round Handle
I’m impressed with the quality of the Rösle strainer. I picked the strainer because I needed one that didn’t have a fine mesh (already had that). But I was also pleasantly surprised with the quality of the product.
