My m.2 c drive was out of space and I wanted to clone it to a drive with larger capacity. The reviews were good for this drive and it was substantially less expensive than comparable devices. The function I needed was the stand alone duplication process which was well explained in the included instructions. No pc needed to duplicate a drive, you just have to push a button a couple of times. The process was quick and easy. I would recommend this drive. I can use the old memory as an external drive with a usb c cable and this divine. Copied my dual boot ubuntu/windows M2 from 1TB to 2TB , however I had trouble initially because I assumed and did not read instructions. There is a way to start the product a certain way so it copies and the lights flashing aren't "stupid" proof. After reading instructions, everything was easy peasy and worked.     • This M.2 SDD Cloner/Copier did the job!
Size: 20 Gbps
The need was to (1) replace the boot drive with a larger existing data drive and (2) replace the data drive with a new, larger, drive in an older Lenovo laptop. Both the clone and the copy function were needed and worked flawlessly. I used the off-line, stand-alone clone function to move the boot drive from a 1TB SSD to the existing 2TB M.2 SSD drive. Prior to that, I moved all the information on the (completely full) 2TB data drive to a 4TB SSD (a new Samsung EVO 990 that was formatted on the cloner/copier in USB connected mode). The USB mode copy transferred close to 2 TB of data in a very reasonable time. The new 4TB drive was then installed and tested. All was good. The 2TB drive could now be used to replace the existing boot drive. The boot drive was removed and then cloned to the existing 2TB drive off-line using just the device itself. This was very smooth. The instructions were clear and all worked well. The speed was also notable. After inserting the newly cloned boot drive, everything started and ran normally. All that was left to do was to expand the main partition on the new boot drive to take advantage of the increased drive capacity. Worked perfectly to clone an M.2 which was failing SMART to a new drive - everything's working fine on the new drive and the copy process was relatively quick. For a simple clone operation, it doesn't need to be connected to a computer via USB, it can simply be powered up and the clone can be kicked off by pressing then holding the button on the device. This works very well with the Minitool Partition Wizard Version 10 cloning software and the Macrium software. The biggest problem you will have when using the cloning button is that it works fine for a one to one cloning of the same size hard drive, but not to a larger hard drive, for that you need cloning software. What will happen that if you go from a 512 drive to a 1 terabyte drive, the built in clone button will make it the same size drive as the original. You will be sitting there wondering what happened to the rest of the memory? So if you were hoping for a plug and play cloning, it's not going to happen. There is a pretty good YouTube video on how to use the Minitool software, watch it. One more thing, if you use the USB adapter that doesn't come with it, plug it into the back of the computer. Reason why is that the USB ports on the back are usually 3.1 version. If you trying using using it with USB 2.0, the cloning process will hang. ... show more

I clone a lot of drives since I'm the IT Director at a hospital in Texas. I do software and hardware clones as well as a combination of both. This cloner is very fast and the clones are coming out perfect. For the price you just can't go wrong. It also works as an ssd docking station if you need that as well. As a dual disk reader I've had no complaints, no issues detecting, mounting, or r/w to multiple nvme disks. As a stand alone cloning device I've had nothing but issues, and at no time did the responses of the various LED's actually match any of the provided instructions or online documentation. I even ended up buying a different target nvme and got undocumented lights with no actual failure. ... show more
