This is a colorful puzzle. I like the diner theme, although I don't know why it is called "In and out" when the picture shows is as 24 [hour] Diner. The clothing and style scream 1950s, which is fun. Inside the box, there is a piece of folded paper with a large picture of what the puzzle is supposed to look like, so you have that as well as the picture on the box. Even more interesting is that the piece of paper also has some copy about the artist whose illustration it is, in this case Edward Wargo who lives in NJ, which like NY, has great diners. I am a fan of Rose Art colors so was happy to try this puzzle. The colors are vibrant but a bit muted. I see that the picture is a little muted too, so that was my fault. The box itself though, is half the size of a normal 1000-piece puzzle box, at least historically. The pieces feel smaller and less sturdy than most pieces. No one will need to get the sledgehammer out for these to fit together. The designs and chaotic nature of the picture make it easy to put together. We like doing puzzles though and don't need them to be that sturdy. They end up being boxed up and ~taped up~for the no missing pieces things and they go to children or classrooms. ... show more

Nice standard puzzle, thinner cardboard, small pieces - slightly larger than 3/4" square. Colors are vibrant, the cuts are precise. Comes with an inner plastic holding bag which is nice.
